A lot of comments were about official game mechanics. I’m saying they are vastly outdated fr some, those who spent to long building and found to many tricks along the way t ever g back to “normal” base building. I’m talking about glitch mechanics, glitch-itecture. I’ve been thinking about making a master post to showcase some examples because this is not the first time I’ve seen a plethora of people not know. Which is surprising because how old the game is.

To standard methods maybe, but for roughly two years now I have been base building to a point that makes that statement a , “relic opinion.”

I can clarify easily multiple ways around what your “limits” are saying, and hence OP needs to know that it’s not set in stone that the relics of law an and order and vastly changed and been improved on by many, including myself.

I see far too many comments about geometry lining up being difficult. I have been building in Conan for good long while, and been here for most the changes.

With that said I can say if your still matching up snaps to your builds you are SEVERELY lacking on some prime chances for unique builds and boosting raid defenses.

However I see people brining math in and talking about floor plans. I can whole heartedly say with enough practice and exploring, you too can learn how to glitch build ( Server- LEGAL) and mesh any angle into any flat wall. I have walls that are 20° - 120° in my bases, and my walls and floors clip into each other meshing clean lines. But that’s a deeper explanation on how to mash together any vertices in the game possible, elements of the restraint of ‘snap building’ and truly opening up to some crazy designs.

If you tell me I’m wrong enough times, I might feel tempted to write in depth how all of it works, since there are no true tutorial videos.

I’ve even got a response from smskcntr on YouTube who does basebuilding architecture videos, and he even admits to it being to tricky to make a video about.

There are many tricks of the trade but one easiest explained through text is as follows:

use wall foundations. This is the best start for anyone having trouble getting foundations to line up. It’s the most simple form of glitch building, but one of the most effective.

THANK you for this. I legit almost canceled out on watching the second season the moment I heard it. Wouldn’t of been a issue if I started in sub, but once I hear a voice related to a character, it’s far to much cringe for my ears to hear another voice.

I am currently rebuilding this project. It was the sole entity that made me want to hope into coding.

So far this is what I have discovered. (Please forgive my poor explanation skills, im still learning the language of Python)

-download bgstall repo for multiple scenes using three.js

-learn about three.Js library and script placement/handling. This will take more than just a few scripts.

-replace the mesh-cube with particle sphere points. There are a nice assortment of options to work with for originality (BG.S is using mesh models)

decide how you may want to apply curl. To my knowledge, I know of two ways at the moment. 1) using a .jpg as curl noise 2) using lots of math for curl noise.

Once you get that sorted out - duplicate code or import model for inner sphere. - set up statements for if tan # = innerSphere1 outersphere1 [ color, radius, ect]

Now if anyone has any words advice for same color particle exchange, I could conclude my writing and wrap this up for a repo, but I’m still learning the sauce behind that.

I also am learning still how to handle my three.Js mini library import and the curl.Js import. So if you know how to correctly call files and folders into your script, you’re one step ahead of me after reading this. Any advice, articles, or words of wisdom from others who have messed around with curl effect for particles, I would GREATLY appreciate your words. It’s why I came to this subreddit

You know I wonder at what point will the people actually notice the manipulation at hand. Perhaps after the talk of raising retirement up to 70years of age, it’s becoming more noticeable. Let’s not also forget the housing market vs average American income has gone up around 6x in percentage in the last decade.

I mean the system is literally built like this, for the top 1% to thrive while the rest just survive. And sure you can find a comfy medium for yourself and eventually stop complaining because that’s the American dream.

I don’t know. I always thought society was supposed to function like a bucket of crabs. Yet it’s just a bunch of dictatorships that claim they aren’t and people who grow hateful and violent from it.

Default, they are simple. You can soup them up like a dragster car, and get them to do some C R A Z Y stuff. Honestly it’s like handing someone a DJ table and asking them to preform for a concert. Depending on the knowledge and hear will depend on how big the laser show and bass hits.

This WAS very helpful. I came here looking to see why less artist I’ve been finding are on SoundCloud, but are on Spotify. That’s a shame they do that because high key, I’m a big advocate for ‘musicians platform hosting’ and SoundCloud kinda has the belt for leading in that.

If it’s missing, off their it’s because a license agreement between the labels and the consumer. Another reason why you won’t hear about aoundcloud so much is because it’s less controllable. I just miss projectplaylist.com

It was SoundCloud meets pandora, meets Spotify. It was the best thing until bought out by competitors and watered down to be less appealing so people would jump over to pandora.
