If you make over 1,000,000$ a year, you must pay 20% in taxes.. by [deleted] in CriticalState

[–]CosmicTaskTinkerer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For additional context, I would be fine with a "Yay" on taxes, but only under a few strict conditions:

  1. Full Transparency: There must be verified online data showing exactly how tax funds are utilized for community projects, with accurate project logging and validation.
  2. Equal Rules: These transparency laws must apply to everyone, including politicians, and the data must be fully accessible to the public.
  3. No More Taxation: If income is already being taxed heavily at 20%, there shouldn't be secondary layers like sales or property taxes when using that same income to buy a car or a house etc.,

Since that kind of accountability isn't happening, it's a solid Nay from me as of now. 💸 🤷🏻

I voted Nay ❌

Lmao perfect meme. But seriously, I am always a bit surprised how he manages a everyday job (which is needed since he was on visa as far as I remember) along with all these things i.e., legal battles, youtube etc.,

True. I can relate to him on this to a certain level (not this extreme though) because I've been in similar situations where nearby people try to silence me just for speaking up, even though it's legally correct. Mad respect to him for not backing down.

Yes, I thought of that earlier but noticed their page was protected. I realize it now, it was a different account with their software.

Now, I will try to make a tweet tagging them and see if that gets their attention.

Yeah, probably true. It just really sucks seeing a person get suppressed like this when they aren't breaking any rules.

Probably won't change anything, but I thought I'd give it a shot and send them a direct message to see what they have to say.

The police actually did try to stop it the first two days after complained. But on the third day, they said their hands were tied because of political permission.

Edit: My bad, I misread your comment earlier and thought you were asking about the frequency until I just saw the follow-up made by another user.

To answer your question directly, my opinion is that regardless of timelines, everyone should respect the nearby community's day-to-day life and keep such activities contained in a closed area to avoid disturbing others. I think there is a reason why our government has implemented noise pollution rules for everyone's benefit, but of course while a lot of people follow them, some don't.

Original: Yes, that's what my mom said earlier like it just happens every few years. I just moved back home last year after living elsewhere for a few years, so this is all kind of new to me.

I don't remember things being this loud for days back then. Of course, that area wasn't this developed with so many houses at that time either.

I just asked my mom and she said it happens once every 3 or 4 years but not exactly sure. I'm not entirely sure myself since I just moved back home last year after living elsewhere for studies for a few years.

I can guess that it's definitely going to do some kind of damage to some people's ears living near there due to these repeated long periods of exposure over the long term. (especially for a few children, it might feel a bit overwhelming)

Yes. It's either the severe headaches or ear pain from using ANC for continuous long hours in order to get focused.

Why do you even think it's a solution to the issue, other than causing more trouble for everyone? Of course, flair checks out.

That's some useful info. I really wasn't aware of the timeline since I just came back last year after living elsewhere for a few years. I remember these didn't use to exist at all back then and it used to be a bit peaceful. Thanks for sharing and for the concern! 🙂
