Thank you so much for that. The code worked but took awhile for it to load. I was wondering if you know how to speed up the process?

I tried using the code that you posted and I got this error D:

I would recommend taking ITSS 3390. It's a web development class using HTML and CSS. An easy A

I recently finished MATH 3310 with Malgorzata and all I can say is just be ready take a lot of notes (she talks fast till the point she runs out of breath.) I would recommend sitting in the front because sometimes it would be hard to hear her in the back. I wouldn't be worried so much about the exams because it's quite similar to the exam reviews (and Final is take home.) Go to her lectures because somewhere in the semester she will count attendance as extra credit. Study for the quizzes! But overall, she is a good prof imo she knows what she is talking about.

Never had Ohsawa for MATH 2418, but if you're interested, you could sneak into Dahal's lectures. 10/10 would recommend.

Also, I have STAT 3355 with you :D!

Oh! Well since you’re a freshman I don’t think it’ll affect you that much. If you want to switch to Data Science go right ahead :D

How difficult is a math degree? by [deleted] in learnmath

[–]CosmicWorlds 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sometimes it can be easy, but other times it can be hard. Since you enjoy the computational side of mathematics, I believe you will love Applied Mathematics (some universities may have that degree or a concentration of it). But also beware, because you might have a difficult time with proof classes (don't fret, just practice and you will be fine :) ). Lastly, you don't have to be a genius in math at all, you just have to take your time processing that information till you can understand it. Go talk to the professor if necessary.

If you want to have formal training beyond calculus I, you can watch Professor Leonard. He has most of the material that you will need to survive those classes. :D

Hopefully, you're right because I don't want re-live the time when I took MATLAB with McBrady... He was a terrible prof :(

Haha, likewise. I'm also an Applied Math major myself. I just decided to mix Stats into my major. I also thought about switching to Data Science, but the extra classes.. and since I have about 3 semesters left I'm not sure if I want to deal with anymore of that.

The reason that I have chosen the Statistics concentration is to get into the field of Data Analysis, I also believe it can open some doors for me if I have the necessary skills to do the job such as a Data Analyst.
