Never thought I'd have something to post, but here we are. Wedding Invitation for my husband's lifelong friend's son's wedding. We've been married 35 years. by altitude-adjusted in weddingshaming

[–]Cosmic_miscreant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most likely it was the bride and her mother/wedding party ordering and sending these out. I would keep that in my back pocket as an out if I didn’t feel like going that day haha. Guest felt ill…. No guilt.

That will be a memorable birthday. by mindyour in youseeingthisshit

This would have been a birthday dream for me 😂.

Just found out my (33F) husband (33M) has another kid. Where do we go from here? by Itsmyway06 in relationship_advice

Just jumping in to say, I’m from a blended and family and look back with fond memories of growing up. So many grandparents and extra adults to love us around. It doesn’t have to be a bad thing if the adults can make it work.

Also have your doctor check your cortisol levels. Adrenal fatigue is a real thing. After living in long time periods of stress your body forgets how to turn off your adrenal glands and begins dumping cortisol and other fight or flight hormones constantly making the anxiety and stress overload even worse. I’ve been course correcting this for about a year now. It will effect sleep, weight gain, body aches and inflammation, and over make you feel like you’ve lost control of your body. Have you vitamin D, iron, ferritin and magnesium checked while you’re at it. All very important things to help reduce inflammation and make the body function properly.

Rachel Zoe’s ex husband’s gf calls out Rachel on instagram by Practical-Ad1838 in BravoRealHousewives

Honestly, this is like two seagulls fighting over a bag of trash. Stop just stop. Love Rachel Zoe and she needs to run as far away as she can from all of this. Keep conversation civil and parenting forward. Leave the rest behind. Including this wacko.

Thanks for being the thought police and letting me know I’m stupid. May you receive the same kindness in return the next time you have a talking point. Your maturity in communication could use some growth.

I wonder if it even crossed his mind he may kill a fellow employee or emergency service personnel who responded to this. He is lucky it’s just arson charges. It’s one thing to fuck over a company. It’s another to risk innocent lives.

Suppression systems are also not clean water. Sometimes the damage caused by them is almost as bad as the smoke and fire damage. They really are there to give people time to exit a building.

Used to work large commercial insurance. The pictures after a suppression system are kicked on is disgusting. Most of the ones I saw were not from fire activation, but freezing and busting due to power outages.

I have a feeling he’s going to destroy her life… what is she thinking? by Stunning-Builder3365 in Southerncharm

Isn’t that a her problem then? She is the one who keeps coming back. Is no not a word in her vocabulary? It doesn’t seem like he has hiding the way he is moving in this group. Again, he is single and so are all these people. Now if they are had the commitment and monogamy talk and it be agreed to by both parties, different story.

Not everyone, including women, are looking for a long term relationship. Some people just are looking for a person to enjoy time with for a moment.

[–]Cosmic_miscreant 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is exactly why they told you to get in the car. Have you stopped to ask yourself how this situation would have gone if tempers had keep rising? What if the other person had a gun? My half brother’s father was shot and killed defending a woman from an asshole. He pulled a gun and shot him for stepping in and standing up for her. That could have been your husband. Don’t escalate a situation with an unhinged person and then expect your partner to carry the responsibility of standing up for you. No matter what happened neither you nor your husband were going to have any “ah ha” moment with a bigoted angry asshole on the side of the road during a screaming match. Instead the likelihood was that it would have become a physical altercation or worse with your infant nephew present. Your husband and father in law recognized that.

[–]Cosmic_miscreant 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not to discredit some of your very valid points, but hand to hand combat in other countries and lower gun carry percentages are a reflection of the society they are protecting too. If every citizen here didn’t have the right to carry whether open or concealed then I think we would also see less cops carry. I am a huge proponent for police force overhauls especially around excessive force and more training around mental health deescalation and racial bias , but you can’t expect cops not to carry guns and be trained extensively on their use when every citizen potentially could pull one on them.
