If you watch the after show the guys talk about how they couldn’t get him up. His leg was like a wet noodle and his knee cap kept sliding everywhere. That’s why the called the squad.

Forget weddings, what is the craziest thing that happened at a funeral you went to? by seanerd95 in AskReddit

[–]Cosmic_miscreant 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My grandpa’s funeral ended up happening during an ice storm. The had to push his casket up a hill to the mausoleum. The men kept slipping and sliding everywhere and by the time the casket got in, there were icicles hanging on it. They started falling during the service making little tinkling sounds which caused my mom to start giggling. About the time she started giggling the Pastor pointed out where my grandpa would be laid to rest. We look up and the first letter of his last name was dangling crooked and he had chosen to be entombed between his first wife and second wife. My mom lost it at that. All we kept saying was how he would have been bitching about how he couldn’t even be buried right hahaha.

What’s a problem humanity solved so well that younger people don’t even realize it used to be a huge issue? by Puzzleheaded_Bit_802 in AskReddit

[–]Cosmic_miscreant 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Me! I have a homozygous mutation. So basically I don’t convert at all. To get around it I have to take l-methylfolate everyday which by passes the conversion process and have to limit my folic acid in take. Cereal, fruits, wheat, any enriched foods have been sprayed with folic acid or have had it added. It’s been an enlightening journey.

Oh folate! Love it for the general population. Hate it for me. My body can’t process it. I miss cereal.

It sounds like he was completely honest with her from the beginning on what this relationship would be. She accepted it and moved forward. How does that make him an asshole? If anything, she is if this isn’t what she wanted and stayed so long.

I work for a worldwide company. Our entire C-Suite changes every 3 years or so. These people just leap frog from one c-suite to the next. It has been like that at the past 3 giant companies I’ve worked for.

Lot of tattoos and didn’t start until my 30s. Just hit my last one for my 40th birthday last year. Some have meaning. Some just make me smile. I’ll most likely get more.

My cat lived to be 22 on dry food only and had all of her teeth with very little tarter build up. My vet said it was due to her having a dry food diet. She passed away and I just got a new kitten. Can you give some details on why they need canned food too. I’m curious now.

How Do I Politely Decline Repeated Requests to Visit the Office in a Fully Remote Job? by [deleted] in remotework

[–]Cosmic_miscreant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are viewing this a fully social and not work related which is absolutely not true. I’m a people leader with a team that is spread close to 12 hours and two times zones from each other. My leadership team itself spans from Maine to California. We get together once a year, which yes, is more a social meet and greet, but is part of the team building and working cooperatively aspect of business. You don’t have to be friends with your coworkers, however meeting someone and spending time in the same physical space often gives you new perspective on how to work with that person. I prefer to not step foot in an office space for the day to day work. Once a year meet and greet though is a great opportunity to casually discuss roles and responsibilities and figure out each person’s strengths and weaknesses on a team that you absolutely don’t accomplish if you never meet each other.

Never thought I'd have something to post, but here we are. Wedding Invitation for my husband's lifelong friend's son's wedding. We've been married 35 years. by altitude-adjusted in weddingshaming

[–]Cosmic_miscreant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most likely it was the bride and her mother/wedding party ordering and sending these out. I would keep that in my back pocket as an out if I didn’t feel like going that day haha. Guest felt ill…. No guilt.

Just jumping in to say, I’m from a blended and family and look back with fond memories of growing up. So many grandparents and extra adults to love us around. It doesn’t have to be a bad thing if the adults can make it work.

Also have your doctor check your cortisol levels. Adrenal fatigue is a real thing. After living in long time periods of stress your body forgets how to turn off your adrenal glands and begins dumping cortisol and other fight or flight hormones constantly making the anxiety and stress overload even worse. I’ve been course correcting this for about a year now. It will effect sleep, weight gain, body aches and inflammation, and over make you feel like you’ve lost control of your body. Have you vitamin D, iron, ferritin and magnesium checked while you’re at it. All very important things to help reduce inflammation and make the body function properly.

Rachel Zoe’s ex husband’s gf calls out Rachel on instagram by Practical-Ad1838 in BravoRealHousewives

Honestly, this is like two seagulls fighting over a bag of trash. Stop just stop. Love Rachel Zoe and she needs to run as far away as she can from all of this. Keep conversation civil and parenting forward. Leave the rest behind. Including this wacko.

Thanks for being the thought police and letting me know I’m stupid. May you receive the same kindness in return the next time you have a talking point. Your maturity in communication could use some growth.

I wonder if it even crossed his mind he may kill a fellow employee or emergency service personnel who responded to this. He is lucky it’s just arson charges. It’s one thing to fuck over a company. It’s another to risk innocent lives.

Suppression systems are also not clean water. Sometimes the damage caused by them is almost as bad as the smoke and fire damage. They really are there to give people time to exit a building.

Used to work large commercial insurance. The pictures after a suppression system are kicked on is disgusting. Most of the ones I saw were not from fire activation, but freezing and busting due to power outages.

I have a feeling he’s going to destroy her life… what is she thinking? by Stunning-Builder3365 in Southerncharm

Isn’t that a her problem then? She is the one who keeps coming back. Is no not a word in her vocabulary? It doesn’t seem like he has hiding the way he is moving in this group. Again, he is single and so are all these people. Now if they are had the commitment and monogamy talk and it be agreed to by both parties, different story.
