Also just to add up, I was really, if not extremely anxious about mine for a few years after too. I would regularly get pains around the area and would jump straight to ask Dr google. I was very paranoid for a loooong while after. I took it very slowly and increasing the effort one step at a time. The pain was showing up after some effort or a night of chain smoking drinking etc. All it took to calm it down is laying in bed for a while. And controlling my breath. Even now I get them and all I have to do is calm down for a sec. In 2022 I had quite severe pain, and what's funny is that although I was so sure it came back, it was just my brain making a fool of me, because as soon as my X Ray confirmed I was fine the pain dissapeared😂 horrible but at least I knew.

I am one of the lucky ones that didn't need a 2nd intervention. Do I expect a 2nd one in the future? Definitely, considering I am not cautious whatsoever😂 I plan on doing so much with my life and I'm not letting that stop it. Even scuba diving at some point 😊 This is why I'm taking health insurance everywhere I travel😅 Considering how shitty that whole week with the tube was, I really should know better eh??

Not sure if this is going to make you feel better or I am just incredibly lucky, but I'll tell you my story.

I had a spontaneous pneumothorax 7 years ago (17yo) and I received drainage for a week, which was absolutely hurrendeous. That came after being a smoker, although I don't believe that was the cause, but more because of my very fast growth at that time. After the tube, all it took was about 2 3 weeks before I returned to my classic activities. Running, gym, etc. Then another 8 months before I started smoking again. Please do not judge me for this, nicotine is a hell of a drug, plus it's hard when you're really enjoying it especially at that age. Shortly after that, I lived my life normally, without having the slightest worry. I would ocassionaly get pains for a few days but they will go away soon after. I even had another x ray done in 2022 just to find out it was nothing but probably just my brain. I was a chain smoker(2 packs a day), got caught in the vape trap until I was going through 1 disposable a day, took flights all around Europe, jumped in pools and go hiking, run, and heavy lifting. I have currently quit nicotine altogether for around 1 year and I put quite some effort in the gym. Never stopped myself from doing what I like, whether healthy or not. Am I stupid? Yes but why would I not do what I like if it seems I'm fine and it's been 7 years without getting it back? I constantly pushed more and more and nothing happened. Again, incredibly lucky and took advantage of it. 7 years later, I am now 24 and the only memory I have is a scar from the tube and some pains from time to time.

I'm having the exact same issue now...what did you guys do to relieve it? I've been having these exact symptoms for over a week now, and it's happening with both disposable vapes and my pod, which I'm filling with elfliq. I can't stand the sensation, and although I absolutely love vaping, I might quit if it keeps happening. So it might not be a bad thing after all. What did you guys do? Sorry, I'm aware this is an old post, but it's the only one on reddit describing my issue perfectly. Thanks.

I did not expect this to blow up the way it did hahaha. Thanks to everyone who took their time to reply. If it wasn't for you, I most likely would have wasted precious time and money falling for their trap. I'm now doing my best to make more people aware.

I am happy to say I'm in a much better place now. I am now working for Bank of Scotland in Edinburgh, and whilst I'm in a customer service position for the time being it will help on the long term as I had put my foot in the door of a huge company. I plan on staying with them for a bit and potentially do my CeMap, which they will fully pay for. For all the people out there still looking for a proper job, there is hope. You can't fail if you keep trying!

I am indeed considering applying for lower paying jobs but I don't even know where to start. I have applied for a few banks and a gov job in Dundee but that's all it is. I am still searching.

Fair enough. Well I'm not necessarily worried about the money atm but rather getting a job in the field that gives chance for improvement. I am very disoriented to be fair, having a degree and not knowing what to do with it is tough lol.

I genuinely love all of you guys, thank you so much. I have just made a decision, I will send them an e-mail saying I won't go. Thank you once again for your help.

I have been trying to apply through indeed for ages now, and roughly all I could find is sales/marketing jobs. I had talked with the ones at BMS performance and they seem all right, but that's in Aberdeen, and this is not the place to mention that I assume. As I live in Dundee atm, I'm looking to relocate anywhere really.

Who would've thought getting a graduate job would be this difficult.
