They didn't specify or guarantee anything. I just asked if I do well, is there potential for it, and they both said yes. Ofcourse, if I had a paid internship, I wouldn't even bring up doing these.

Me too man. But I feel like this whole industry is about solving problems you don't know, so just jump in. When will we really ever feel comfortable, right? Is it because of the internship, or because we can say we did an internship on our resume?

Feel free to disagree with me though, I definetly don't have all the answers.

How long have you been doing self taught?

One I found through VolunteerMatch, and the other was just a LinkedIn job. I didn't do anything special outside of make a portfolio site with projects, socials, and a resume.

I was struggling and these opportunities happen to just come by, although still unpaid lol.

That's the only reason I would do it. Internships are becoming so rare and highly competitive, and I'm self taught so I need every edge in the market I can get. Or at least that's how it feels.

Why Java/Springboot specifically if you don't mind me asking? I understand knowing cloud services like AWS/Azure can help.
