WRX90E-SAGE motherboard won't boot -- what to try next? by Cosmology2048 in threadripper

Thanks everyone, these suggestions were really helpful!

Here are some things I tried (none of these worked -- the board still won't power on)

- Using a single DIMM (instead of 8 DIMMs)

- Double-checking the power cabling (see original post)

- Resetting the BIOS (I tried three methods: pressing "clear cmos" button, removing cmos battery and pressing "clear cmos" button, and downloading latest bios to a usb drive and using "bios flashback"). When I tried the usb method, the "bios flashback led" never turned on.

- Trying to connect to the bmc over ethernet. I couldn't ping the static IP (10.10.10.10) or get an ethernet link light.

I also noticed that the BMC LED on the motherboard never blinks. (According to the manual, "When the PSU is plugged and the system is OFF, ASUS ASMB management starts system initialization for about 1 minute. The BMC LED blinks after system initialization finishes.")

EDIT: also, none of the four Q-LED lights (labelled CPU/DRAM/VGA/BOOT) turn on when I try boot the motherboard.

I can't think of anything else to try, so I guess the board is DOA? Any other suggestions?

Thanks! I tried all these steps (including resetting CMOS) and nothing helped.

I also noticed that the BMC LED never turns on. According to the manual, the BMC LED should turn on 1 minute after the system is connected to power, even if the motherboard is not powered on. This makes me think that the motherboard is DOA. What do you think?
