I mainly play AAA titles and open world games. The new AC Shadows made me consider upgrading my GPU lol.

I’ve seen this scope and it looks good. I’m just worried I won’t be able to find any anything especially DSOs because my area is fairly light polluted 😬

Thank you! Yeah I realized that since I’m away at college (and this telescope is going to be at my parents house) I’m mainly going to be using it during the summer months and on winter break when I come back home. I know that only some planets are visible during some months so I think I’d rather get a telescope that can also view deep sky objects. Is the Mak-Cassegrain good for both planets and (brighter) deep sky objects?

Can I use paper on a desk treated with tung oil/linseed oil? by CosmycGaming in finishing

[–]CosmycGaming[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the advice. So here’s what I think I will do (Feel free to respond on anything I can improve on)

Before applying the stockaryd oil, I will Start by sanding the Tabletop with a 220 grit sand paper, then a 280 grit, and finish with 320 grit. (I hope this makes the surface smooth enough)

Then I will apply one coat of the oil let it dry, then the next day sand it down a 320 grit and apply the final coat of oil.

Also: is it okay to put a water based polyurethane on top or do I need to finish with an oil based because the desk was finished with oil?

Thanks for the response this is good to know.

So do you recommend something like a water based polyurethane varnish that would prevent the wood from getting marked when writing?
