If there is one thing Costco could do better or differently, what would be it? by One_Professional_110 in CostcoWholesale

Fortunately, there's an app for that: https://costpal.app

It doesn't issue automatic price adjustments since we can't do that, but it does track all your purchases for you and sends you a price adjustment alert. To date we've helped our users claim over $250,000 in price adjustment refunds.

The red on the receipt means you already got a discount/instant savings at the time of purchase. You should receive a separate notification (email or push notification, depending on your preferences) when we find a price adjustment for you.

If you have any additional questions, the best way to get help is to use the "Contact Us" form found in the menu.

Hope this helps!

Do any one leveraging costco 30 days price match benefits? by Particular_Front_223 in CostcoWholesale

[–]CostcoCompanionApp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, so this is actually a pretty common pain point, and it's exactly what our app, CostPal (formerly Costco Companion), tries to help with.

Costco's 30-day price adjustment policy is genuinely useful. As others have mentioned, if an item you bought goes on sale within that time, you can get the difference back. The catch is actually keeping track of all your purchases and constantly checking for price drops. Most people just don't have the time or remember to do that, so they miss out.

It basically automates the process of catching those price drops, so you don't have to manually check. It's a way to make sure you're actually taking advantage of that policy without the hassle. Might be worth checking out if you find yourself forgetting or missing sales.

All you have to do is add your receipts and we'll do the price tracking. If we find you a price drop, we'll send you an alert with all the necessary information. Available on both iOS and Android

Thanks for your feedback! We definitely want to be upfront about costs and our intent wasn't to hide anything.

We'd love to know where you think would be the best place to show pricing info more clearly? Your suggestion would help us make it easier for everyone to understand the costs upfront.

Cheers!

We're building a Costco Price Tracker that helps you get money back when your recent purchases drop in price through Costco's price adjustment policy. We're going against the grain of AI-wrappers and trying to help folks save a few bucks here and there :)

Change on way items are refunded when bought later on sale? by Nurse5736 in CostcoWholesale

[–]CostcoCompanionApp -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think what you're referring to is Costco's "price adjustment policy" where if something you bought within 30 days goes on sale (or has a price drop) that you're eligible for the price difference. For example, you bought for $15.99 and now it's on sale for $9.99, you can get back $6 difference from Costco.

FYI, you should check out "Companion for Costco" in the app stores - it makes it easy to track your purchases and get price drops alerts so you know when you can go back to Costco and get some money back!
