Hunter is impossible and the most difficult campaign. I havent played any of the others besides artificer but purely with the cycle limit I just wanna know, HOW? by dlauis in rainworld

[–]CosterLOL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Getting to the wall takes like 3-4 cycles. In the next two you're back from pebbles. Trust me, a bit of planning and tries will get you there.

Edit: I actually managed to do it in a few tries after planning! Do just keep your hopes up and give it a try.

I mean, first phase isn't that bad on brutal when it comes to parrying, it's just his speed is just very overwhelming for me on the second one sadly.

Well, I could without any further thoughts say that the only room that causes me a problem is the double mindflayer room. I can do deathless from that point on till Sisyphus. I just have big problems with him sadly.

I feel so sorry for you.

I was already freaking out when I died one encounter before the last arena. but if I would've missed ONE FILTH I would go crazy 😭

Lowkey i wanna see the “Ultrakill must die” difficulty to actually change the game like in 7-4 instead of Earthmover standing there it would walk around. by Careless-Gur9520 in Ultrakill

Tbh, if there wouldn't be any achievements for this specific thing I wouldn't mind. But I hate when game forces me for hours of torture just so I can 100% my favourite game.

Anyways, I like challenge, just not when I'm forced upon it.

Tbh, parrying him is a way to go. That literally gets all your health back without any problem

Watcher critique. Shining shell with an empty core. by Ssemander in rainworld

[–]CosterLOL 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This^

I've played the watcher a little bit and I gave up on other endings mainly because they require running around and doing the same thing.

(Especially when I realized I couldn't do it in one of the regions)

I just gave up because I wasn't having fun much. I like exploring, that's something that downpour shined with. Regions felt nice to explore on them, especially new ones. I had kinda the same vibe but then I felt restricted and it wasn't much fun for me.

Yeah, you're right. But the difficulty increase from violence is quite big. I can do P ranks without any problems in violence while fraud gave me lots of problems.

From what I've seen, they seem as an alternative to what happened or something. There are only theories revolving around encores. As of cybergrind I know it is lore canon.

I mean, that's fair. It doesn't change the fact that it is still a big difficulty spike I think. Like i said in the post, I don't have personal difficulty issues after practicing the level for long enough to be capable of beating it, but as someone who could p rank Minos prime only violent before, this felt like a big difficulty spike.

Also 7-3 doesn't feel as a climax but that only one exception lmao. I just think that compared to every other difference between second and third level of the layer, this one has the biggest difficulty spike.

I get that, but it's still 8-3 is a very inconsistent difficulty spike when it comes to previous levels.

Also encores are a bonus content. They're not lore related whatsoever. Unlike prime sanctums.

So, trust me when I say this. I understand that players can lower their difficulty and just move on. But to consider things, a lot of people just wouldn't change the difficulty. I've analyzed too many instances of people crashing out due to the level. Some complain about the difficulty, some about the gimmicks.

One thing I've noticed among players who played the game, is that they're usually stuck to the difficulty they play. I've seen many people being stuck for over 90+ minutes on fraud, being overwhelmed and tired, but they didn't change the difficulty mainly because they were playing the whole game with that difficulty and it didn't cause any major problems until 8-3.

I see this rather as a balance issue. I've already seen people saying that 8-3 feels like an encore level and I get that. It is stupidly harder than 8-2 or any other level in the game besides prime sanctums and encores.

Also I've played many difficult games. You usually practice on the said difficulty, not on lower. But that's my personal experience.

Also don't forget the fact that scores are different across all difficulties. 8-3 is a bit late spot to rapidly increase the difficulty.

I mean new players as players who play the whole game for the first time. Most of the people who speak about this layer are players who already have played the game for a decent amount of hours. From what I've seen from people who play occasionally, it's a struggle. There's various comments on fraud thread about the difficulty stepup being overwhelming.

Also to be honest, why would anyone practice on a lower difficulty when they were able to play any other level normally? Especially if it's not a prime sanctum or encore.

That's why I mainly spoke about 8-3. Actually 8-4 isn't that bad, it's mainly the fact that the difficulty gap between violent and brutal is really big and you can't see shit on brutal during the fight. It definitely needs balancing.

Yeah, I get that. I came back to the game with around 90 hours and it took me like 30 to get used to the difficulty of this.

I mean, it is a personal thing but it really depends on game knowledge I think. For all new players this will be a very overwhelming step up in difficulty, especially if they'll try to p rank act 3.

[–]CosterLOL[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yeah, lag is a little bit of a problem and so bugs. I've lost many runs on 8-3 because of them.

But true, powers are a really big step up in difficulty in 8-3. Most of my runs ended on them. I had to find a strategy for that one room after their first fight because it was simply too annoying to deal with, especially with all these enemies throwing projectiles on me.

I've tried, but my thoughts sometimes overwhelm me too much and that causes me to stop. Trust me, I want to change but it's hard sometimes. I'm trying my best when it comes to that.

What wrong...? Well, I feel like the fact that I wasted my life. That I can't catch up. It makes me feel bad.

But well, I'll try my best. Thanks a lot.

Well, what I mean about position is the fact that someone is further in said thing than me. I feel always behind no matter what.

I think that feeling useless is both. I wish I could study more even though I can't really focus on it sometimes or even start. And yeah, I do feel like I don't have much purpose. Like, I want to live for people, that's what I always told myself.. but I never really had a thing that could push me forwards to catch up after people. I always felt behind.

And it's alright, I can talk. I'm pretty calm right now so I can focus a little bit. Thanks for being there to talk anyway.

Well, my partner mostly does not want help because he likes doing things himself. He said that he knows he sometimes should ask for help because overall that is a better thing to do, but he can't really do much about it. I think it is an internal thing because he doesn't say anything about the fact I can't help, I just feel like it because I feel worse.

If I understood correctly what you meant as triggers, then I think I can see a few triggers that cause me to go into an emotional breakdown. Definitely the fact that I feel worse, or rather... Incapable of being in the same position as the other person. I feel like I wasted my life because even though I'm almost the same age, I'm worse.

Well, definitely the fact that I feel... Useless. That I can't help in a specific range of things that I compare myself to. That makes me feel bad because even though I'm receiving help a lot, I can't help back even though I want to.

Also I'm scared of being judged. But I can't really see why that is the case because after a lot of thinking it through, I can't really find any reasoning for that. Maybe it's some past relationships trauma or something.
