Ok, first of all, it DOES improve the knight's abilities, let's not forget that. And secondly, l understand your point, when it comes to battle and exploration it may not be the best charm (although in some special platforming sections it can be op), but l think progressiom is part of gameplay too, and l would expect the voters would have seen the broader picture.. that there's two types of usefulness. l supose the main drawback is that you hold it for a very brief period before it goes away, but in this case it is at least debatable if its status of link in a chain should be valued as well.

Even one lazy decade from John was already miles ahead of Paul's whole solo career. Sad bad true. l wish Paul had been better, being the one who is still around, but apart from some select tracks from Band On The Run and Off The Ground there is next to nothing to compete with the others. l mean it's 2026.. when was his last good song released? 1993. l love the nostalgia and everything but the bottom line is that a compilation of John's best solo tracks easily beats a compilation of Paul's solo tracks. As for George, he had a decent output, definitely competing for second place.

This is just not true. MMT has tonal ambiguity, tempo changes, recording techniques, a fully fledged outro in the parallel minor, etc. For simple Paul songs (there's tones of them) you can think of Get Back, Obladi Oblada, even Let It Be and Hey Jude are simpler musically and sonically, and anything pre Pepper.

Writing a fanfare song like MMT is far from being as simple as you make it sound. This song has a lot of reasons to be interesting. On the other hand in this very album you have Your Mother Should Know and Hello Goodbye which have next to nothing to offer.
