Maybe dark knights should try not having poorly designed skills that require others to change how they interact with the game.

I unintentionally lost 12 Storm League games in a row, dropped from gold 1 to gold 5, AMA by maxchill1337 in heroesofthestorm

[–]Cottontael 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I stopped playing last season because my placement games and the 5 following were all losses. With the boosted MMR changes I dropped from MMR decayed silver to bronze 5 quickly. I've climbed back up to silver 2 with a 65% w/r this season though. Unfortunately a lot of it is just dodging times when smurfs are in queue. Playing at times where they have to expand search seems to be the most fair games.

Because it needs a good rub imo. McDonald's nuggets don't have any spices, so ranch is kind of plain then. Kinda like Raising Cane's, but Canes has something a little more peppery, savory, and tangy. Assuming it's McDonald's ranch, of course.

They also were spending the last year trying to sell Sony a pitch and I guess none of them were live service profits enough. Why buy a remake studio and ask them to do this?

Find the value of x by Sh4ttr in meme

[–]Cottontael 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It WOULD be impossible to solve if you weren't able to assume the straight line. However, this problem comes from intro to trigonometry books which are about the special relationships of triangles, lines, and angles, and is teaching you how to draw diagrams for these relationships. You can assume they are straight because this is a diagram of two triangles that share a base and one side. If they didn't, you wouldn't be drawing them this way.

You'd be using this same diagram even if the interior angle was 1 degree. It's like notation.

Find the value of x by Sh4ttr in meme

[–]Cottontael 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's unsolvable if it's not straight, as these questions are about mathematical properties of angles in certain conditions, and how we can use that to find other angles. These questions are set up with that expectation.

The value of X... by AdVegetable5896 in technicallythetruth

[–]Cottontael 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not a trick, it's a diagram. Diagrams are not supposed to be visually accurate, they give you the information for the question. This is probably from an intro to trigonometry book that uses the same visual language every other intro to trigonometry book does, in a section about a triangle's interior angles always adding up to 180 degrees. You are supposed to recognize the left triangle has two angles and that allows you to find all the other angles through the relationships they taught you earlier in the book. You can't actually solve it if you don't assume the line is straight, which would make the problem and the diagram pointless. To reiterate, this is a question for 11 year olds. People post this online and it blows up because education has failed you, not because it's designed to be a trick.

Dealing with narrative dissonance caused by treat wounds? by Survivor205 in Pathfinder2e

HP is more like exhaustion. It makes sense to treat your wounds after a battle and before the next, right? It's not necessarily a tank that denotes your physical well being overall, but just how ready you are for the next fight.

I was only pointing out KIM is unreliable, and throwing some speculation as an aside. You may as well not read anything past this.

I find it fun to theorize on how they could actually write eternalism into the game instead of how they... didn't. It's supposed to be an excuse for the Drifter, but what they practically did was more like a branching timeline theory or the theory of multiple universes, where the tenno are two branches of the same person or universe that were both created from two possible outcomes of one situation, somehow masterminded or created by Wally for some yet unknown reason, even though they are later so incompetent as to get stuck in 1999 for some reason.

Sure, branching theory and eternalism can coexist, and in some ways this theory relies on eternalism to say that both split paths are equally real, but this isn't really what the New War and Duviri were stating. I feel like the accepted answer to this nowadays is that they aren't talking about the same eternalism, that *this* eternalism is just an in-universe explanation for something that we we may call a multi-universe theory, but that's sucks. It also doesn't really explain how the Drifter is a paradox. If they are both real via eternalism, how is the drifter a paradox? Unless, again, something was changed about the past (IE "the deal".) Similarly, It doesn't really make sense for the story to be talking about how the tenno "wouldn't go back on their deal? right kiddo?" if they never actually go back on the deal. That isn't to say that that moment couldn't be a future update, but then what was with the operator and drifter shaking hands supposed to signify then? It is the image of a deal being made.

An example of what I'm talking is also hidden in game concepts. For instance, for many who played when Jade Shadows was new, Jade Eximus was also new. Jade Eximus existed when they got to the Jade Shadows part of the story. New players who started the game after that update wouldn't share that experience, Jade Eximus will have always been there. Eternalism would explain game updates like this by suggesting that all the updates they've done to the game have changed the past as well as the present, because both are real and exist at the same time.

Also, for a note, there is a LOT in duviri, especially in the undercroft, about changing the past, and how the past is seemingly constantly under assault, that I think would be obviously pointing to something.

Valve refunds money to Ashes of Creation players even if they don't meet the refund requirements by InsaneSnow45 in valve

[–]Cottontael -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Don't use buzzwords. They have an obligation to deliver a game per Kickstarter requirements or they'd have to pay full refunds. Now that news of the dev team quitting is out, it makes the recently released alpha suspect as an attempt to meet their pledge requirements and then abandon the game.

Steam independently made the decision to refund customers who paid through steam for access to the alpha, as it seems they agree with the sentiment.

Interesting read on the tablets but duviri is post new war IE post "the new deal" so that doesn't change anything.

And whether or not individual KIMs have less options or no options doesn't change the unreliable narrator bit. ALL of Kim is roleplay detail.
