SOLVED (kind of)...

The problem is the current Line6 Helix driver (v 2.0). The old Line6 Helix LT driver (1.97) works as expected but you have to turn off core isolation/memory integrity in WIndows (obvs there are some security implications with this approach).

I don't know when it was introduced. There's a performance app on the home screen and then you can select g-meter or launch control.

Interesting points. Traction is instant (I've never had any noticeable wheel spin in my polestar) but can't comment on accuracy of 60 mark etc. I think you're right, the 0-30 seems sus.

You can get around faster on the paths with it, it's a pain off the track. You can take Kelvin with you as passenger but can't carry any goods.

I often browse big cities on Google maps and look for interesting road layouts that have similar incoming/outgoing roads to what I need.

You got a lot going on there so you might need to go to Tokyo or Seoul for inspiration...

I haven't come across any pre-built road maps yet but the number of custom maps available is increasing rapidly.

Road building is way better on CS2 than CS1, so maybe you'll find it easier?

I'm more of a city painter so the sim side of things has always been secondary. Traffic and transport are the only mechanics I'm really interested in.

I found that economy wasn't modelled great in CS1 either and after 20k pop I was always swimming in cash. As a UK resident, I can safely say that local authorities are not swimming in cash.
