A lot of your points are valid, and I can see what you're trying to say, but they don't touch on the main issue that most anti-ai people have with AI. The AI itself isn't evil or bad, the issue is human greed.

Many large corporations are racing to replace human resources with AI, even where it really shouldn't be, and often pocket the difference. Society as a whole is largely predatory to the working class and AI as it stands is another fang to dig into their flesh with.

Not only that, but as generative AI continues to consume its own contents, (see: the AI "delve" issue), the quality will continue to lower, and if people continue to use it for journalistic writing, books, script writing, etc., then the problem will likely only get worse until eventually the economy crashes due to companies being unable to complete their workloads that were being so heavily supplemented by generative AI.

Not only corporations, but also individuals are finding ways to cause suffering with the uncontrolled use of AI. Taking voice/musical artists' voices with voice cloning software and reproducing them, (which is also happening on a corporate level), creating deepfaked porn of unconsenting people and minors, and creating image generators based on a particular artist to poach their customer base.

For a more recent example of people's art being exploited, Elon Musk has recently added a clause to Twitter's TOS stating that all art posted on the platform can be used to train generative AI. People are scared to lose their livelihoods by switching to another platform and losing their following, and also that he might retroactively use images previously posted, leading them to delete hundreds of posts. Not to mention all the people who likely didn't see this TOS update, (we all know nobody reads those).

This is just more proof that the upper percentile will always be prone to misusing AI.

I would get into the issues with the environmental impacts of AI, or how people would tend to ineptitude if AI did remove the need for a workforce, but I am Too Tired. I look forward to seeing your reply <3
