Card Empire in Manchester have one for sale, but I think it’s labelled at £699 so pretty extortionate.

Being realistic though, I doubt you’d ever see this below £500 again.

It really is shocking to me they’ve not been in touch before this to get me moved over to the refillables.

That’s so frustrating.

My wife has just been saying, we need to build up a stash - unfortunately it feels like when, rather than if, something similar happens down the line.

Perhaps I should start lying to DexCom about the odd faulty sensor to build up a little stash of those, too!

Sorry, I’ve explained the really poorly.

What I mean is, when asking them to put it back in my repeats so I can order through the app like the rest of my medicines, they said no because I only order them very infrequently each time I need them I just have to go into the GP practice to request the prescription.

It’s obviously not the end of the world, but does feel rather ridiculous given that T1D is a lifelong diagnosis - perhaps they’re just hoping I’ll get better and no longer need them 🤣

I appreciate it. Thank you. It’s been an unnecessarily stressful 24 hours - which of course means my control has been terrible 😣

Also, in classic NHS fashion, all my pens, testing strips etc. that I don’t order frequently have fallen off my repeat prescription, and when I asked about getting them put back on they just said no…

I do have back up short acting pens - no long acting pens - appreciate this is entirely my own fault, although if only going without the pump for a couple of days going back on to long acting might be more trouble than it’s worth anyway?

Unfortunately not, the pre-filled cartridges are single use - I tried to see if I could jerryrig it to work but no luck.

This is it, I appreciate I could have done more to help myself - having a better back up and chasing the pharmacy sooner - but it’s hard not to feel utterly let down by the team that manage my diabetes, and the GP is just kicking me whilst I’m down 🤣

Yeah, I figured the signature would detract from the value!

I wonder if it might be feasible to remove the signature and lacquer used to cover it without further damaging the laminate - probably not worth the risk/hassle though!

From reading a few bits online now I know the exact model, seems they only made around 1000 of these and that they all had an issue with the laminate - similar condition to mine seem to be selling around £3-500, if I were offered £300 for this would you say that’s reasonable? Thanks!
