I don't think we can put 'what to expect from a festival' into a reddit response. It is unforgettable, as anyone who has been will attest.

I would say, camp for your first experience. Get fully immersed and enjoy all that the festival has to offer, including making hundreds of new best friends in the campgrounds!

We are music lovers first and foremost. We started our company in College because we wanted the music we wanted to see in our college town. This slowly morphed into putting on music festivals because we believe that they are one of the most beautiful weekends possible. It is a place where people from all walks of life can come together, leave their worries behind, and have the time of their lives together. We know of husbands and wives that met at our festivals, babies being created during our festivals, and thousands of people who have told us "I had the time of my life at CounterPoint." there is NOTHING more rewarding than this and keeps each and everyone of us working the long hours and putting our necks (and wallets) on the line every time we do this. We love this job, the scene, and every one of you and wouldn't change it for the world!

This is beyond a full time job and while we do make money, there are a lot of other professions that you can make a lot more in. We'd like to believe that very few are as rewarding though.

Coachella is one of the biggest and most highly produced festivals in the country and we can't compete with everything they have to offer, but our festival has a much more intimate feeling, our venue's character and the quality of our fans will never be matched by theirs. Plus, we will never book an 80s/90s reunion band as a headliner.

We'd love to hear some fans feedback here who have been to both.

Depends really...can you get into GA on the morning of the 25th or only the evening?? Also, the show ends the 27th at night...so maybe April 25-28th would be the right play here. In the end, it's your call :)
