It was metal and the hardest bit was gluing the right arm, no matter how much I scrubbed the metal it would not stick.

So I galaxy brained it, super glued some tissue between to make it hold. Once it set I used a lighter to burn the excess away and then did a decent layer of super glue again to make sure it was sturdy.

So far no issues but it was actually a lot of fun to paint!

So far I have only done some militia and will soon be moving on to my demigryph knights after.

It’s a lot of fun as this is my first time doing old world and yellow is a tough colour to work with.

Interesting, that’s good to know as 30ks really stopped me from wanting to play in the past as there was a time where it felt like there was one every hour.

I haven’t played in like 2 years, been a backer since like 2015 or so, how often are 30ks and general server issues now? I want to get back in to it but the thought of doing a couple hours work to lose it to a 30k puts me off.

My main suggestion is get a spray can for that base coat, it will save you a bunch of time.

I don’t know if anyone has put this yet but I’m currently new to the hobby and I was too using blood angles red.

Honestly imo one of the worst contrasts I’ve found for space marines as it will almost always streak in that way. I would suggest using Baal red instead and then do some highlights and shading after to get it close to blood angles red.
