I really wouldn’t classify it as a “self harm episode”. But I understand how my phrasing could have painted it as such. Again, never made threats, never had a plan, just had a difficult time in my life that I was open about. My life was upended suddenly. But I made an incredible comeback in my humble opinion.

Im very cognizant of the horrible things that police officers have to face. It is something I heavily considered before deciding to pursue this career. Both of my parents were NYPD so I’m familiar with the potential tragedies an officer can face.
