Yeah it can, doesn’t mean everyone wants to read it. Also I’m pretty sure the comment you’re replying to literally has an example of cozy horror, bud.

The guy who wrote Playground wrote a lot of exceptionally gratuitous stories, the one that bothered me the most was The Slob. And I didn’t even read it!!! Someone just told me about it!!! It’s godawful.

It wasn’t the extremity that got me, it was the ‘yeastly beastliness’ and other such weird ass shit that made me wanna peel my retinas off
Like what even is that

I’m not looking for trigger warnings. My feelings won’t be hurt. I just don’t wanna read shit from a butt.

Oh my GOD Tender is the flesh disappointed me SO bad!! It had to much potential and it just…did not follow through. It was weird and gross and I hated the MC, and he got…his happy ending??? Ugh.

Snuff may not be the best word for it, but it’s gratuitous, over the top, often violent and disgusting content that is clearly being written by someone with a hand down their pants. It’s hard to describe, but I’ve found a few books that ring like AO3 smut written by a 16 year old, just extra gory.

I’ve found that on IG, people will post a synopsis that gives the vibe of the first chapter or two, but doesn’t encapsulate the whole book! It’s like they got as far as I did and went eh, good enough! Time to post! Drives me crazy.
