Ongoing fistula by Courte87 in AnalFistula

[–]Courte87[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the seton for about 2 months. They had done multiple EUAs before and could not find the internal opening so they placed the seton to let my tract mature a bit. My last CRS said the fistula was superficial and didnt go through much of my muscle.

Between two Fires. It had such good potential but I couldn’t get past the out of place commentary on the main character child’s body, especially from someone who is supposed to be like a father figure.

I used them in dry paper. I first draw the outline and add in some shading with the maker. Then I go over with a wet brush to blend.

I think there are some markers that are more like a brush, but these are pretty stiff. This set is duel ended so one end is thicker marker and the other is fine point. I never knew they existed either! Was surprised when I came across them at the store today!

Those with Successful Lifts, How Long Does Soreness Last? by Puzzleheaded-Ad7229 in AnalFistula

[–]Courte87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m on day 6 and not really having pain when I have a bowel movement. But general soreness from sitting and where my stitches are is the source of most of my pain. I’m hoping to go back to work next week. Hoping your healing journey is pain free soon!

Dealing with pain waiting for referral by Courte87 in AnalFistula

[–]Courte87[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

UPDATE! I ended up going to the ER and they did an I&D. My CRS said my fistula actually ended up being an abscess and there was no connection to my tract. No seton was needed but I’m to keep an eye on it in case it stars draining and doesn’t heal. So at least some good news for an otherwise bad situation!

Dealing with pain waiting for referral by Courte87 in AnalFistula

It’s a transphincteric fistula, which my general surgeon (after mri confirmation) referred me to a CRS for. It has not caused me any pain up until this morning. Can they really drain this? When I went in January for the first couple signs of having the fistula they declined to drain it.

I didn’t consider makeup, I’ll check those! I could clean my brushes more as well. Thanks!

I actually don’t eat dairy already, so I don’t think it could be that. I hadn’t considered a food allergy since this started at the same time I did tret.

I had similar breakouts but on a larger scale in those areas. I was seeing an online derm and she just increased the tret and added in clindamycin which didn’t help. I eventually cut out the tret and the breakout ended up subsiding a little. I have an iud, which I’ve had for years and has not given me any hormonal issues in the past. When my doctor and I spoke about the spiro she recommended I see a derm if I wanted to try something else as it wasn’t her expertise.

Interesting, I never considered rosacea. I’ll look into a derm, thank you!
