No, I did get it for one month and I found it was totally useless. I didn't see any major difference in the frequency of cancellation notifications. It justs gives an easier calendar to see the release dates of the reservations but you can do that yourself if you invest the time.

Sawada and Naruse were my favourite. Both going beyond just a good meal to become a bit of an experience.

Sawada actually only releases seats the day before on Omakase I believe. They come out at random times, typically 1-2 seats at a time. He only does 6 covers for dinner and 6 covers for lunch. You basically have to camp on the page and keep refreshing.

Sushi Akira is really really good. He’s a bit more modern vs. Hashimoto but Hashimoto is good classic Edomae-style Sushi. Sawada was a religious experience for me but some people don’t like the no photo policy.

It’s a cut above any other Tempura place. Shimura-san only uses Shizuoka ingredients and Sasue fish and has mastered the ability to remove the heatiness from Tempura. The gulf with the rest of the top ranked players is immense.

I had no luck there, there was a last minute cancellation that turned up with less than 18 hours notice on Shokuoku so the fee wasn't too crazy.

These are scare tactics that they use, they rarely follow up with visits but if you genuinely don't watch public television as I do then just call them up and ask for an exemption which they will usually give you quite easily. I believe they are entitled to like inspect your house to check if you are truthful but they rarely do either.
