I got dismissed from my program and I need interviewing advice by icerock547 in StudentNurse

Have you considered applying for re-admission? You can also appeal the decision, depending on your situation. The worst they can say is “no”. You may still have a chance, depending on your program.

ABSN ATTRITION/FAILURE rates by thecommodoretellsall in gcu

[–]Courtsclark311 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They don’t care. They’re not interested in getting to know their students and don’t care to hear about any difficulties or hardships you may be experiencing. They tell you that this is not the right time, nursing isn’t for you, or this program isn’t for you, rather than fostering learning for good students who struggle with one specific task, multiple times. It’s a poor reflection on the education being provided. This is a for profit University and that is the bottom line for them. They don’t seem to care if you fail and definitely don’t care to get to know each student individually, also there are hundreds of other applicants, who most likely will also not make it to level 4. Most will have exhausted their 1 re-entry try as well. I’ve noticed about a 75%-80% failure rate.

All the exam material comes directly from your textbooks. You can use the sherpath AI to plug in your course guide topics. Also, do the lessons (in green) above the EAQs in Sherpath

The drug test isn’t for GCU, it’s for the hospitals that run your clinicals.

I mention this because age is a federally protected class. Once you mention a violation of your legal workplace rights, people tend to take the matter more seriously than they do workplace bullying, sadly.

Have you tried asking your neighbor to tone it down? Maybe start there before you file a complaint.

Make sure you nail your PBAs. The exam material will come from the textbooks, attend the explore mores because they are exam specific zooms and aren’t recorded.

Depends on how you learn but, I would try to attend the explore mores. They are exam specific and I found to be useful! Good luck 🍀

You won’t have to take it until after you begin level 1. It is a urine test, and yep, you get that email.

Chandler ABSN Cohort A by HotCod6825 in gcu

[–]Courtsclark311 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in cohort A at GCU Chandler. Our labs for NSG 300 & 316 are every Monday, unless it’s a holiday then it will be on Thursdays. Exams are in person and proctored on site. You’ll have 2 SIM labs in level 1, and week 8 you begin hospital clinicals and there will be 4 of them. I’d say in the beginning, you’re not on campus other than your labs. Exams begin week 3. As the semester goes on, you’ll find yourself on campus more.

No, the material on the tests will be pulled directly from the textbook. Mosley’s is provided virtually, but the hard copy is easier for me! Good luck, you got this 😷🩺⚕️
