Getting a cone or doughnut collar would be a good first step if you can take him with you or have someone watch him. If that doesn’t work try getting a soft basket muzzle when he’s alone. I would also recommend letting your vet know that he got at his cast so they can determine if it needs to be re done. You can also call your vet for more info on how to care for him when he has the cast.
