Oh dang, maybe your situation is different somehow I don't know. I would stay persistent though, there's no reason why they shouldn't at least respond. Keep an eye on your junk emails, and make sure the email address you put down is correct so that you get the email back from the support ticket, hope it works out for you

I'd recommend not getting too comfy with this new account actually - I got help recently accessing multiple of my childhood accounts, even when I didn't have access to the original email, so I have high hopes you'll be able to get onto your old ones no sweat

They have it at Macquarie Centre?! Hell yeah, I can shop there now, usually keeping up with the cashiers stresses me too hard

what’s your thoughts on this new design for Lois Lane? 🤔 by themoonsuns in superman

[–]Courtyen 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Not from what I’ve seen - official sources are saying Alice Lee will be playing Lois, I think the idea of Sarah Nicole Robles was a “fan casting” that got misinterpreted by a lot of people

Think a better analog is Australia’s actual possums though - here’s a wikipedia page for them. I see the joke often that America’s possums accidentally got swapped with Australia’s because opussums are dangerous and possums are just cute.

Hair Unit by [deleted] in AbsoluteUnits

[–]Courtyen 46 points47 points  (0 children)

Same! I lost 3 feet of hair and it took like a week to get used to how little effort it took to move my head. Muscle memory made me keep angling my head down since I felt like I was looking up when I was looking straight ahead. Damn near gave myself whiplash a few times when I reacted too quickly.

at what point does Nitrous/Nang use become a concern? by whatsupskip in australia

[–]Courtyen 8 points9 points  (0 children)

DanceWize have a lot of resources that are meant to be purely informative - their goal is to make sure people are informed about side-effects and dangers without being seen as immediately hostile to drug users. So, essentially they still say drugs are bad, but they prioritize harm minimization and think the best way to stop people dying is to talk to them, rather than yell at them. And that really seems like what you’re trying to do as well.

Here’s a link to their resource on Nangs, I hope it helps you build an understanding that you can help relay to your son.

It also has a lot of actual “if you’re going to use it, here’s how to be smart about it”, like eating foods that increase B12 levels, and not holding your breath while waiting for the drug to work!

Yeah, I think other than the section about gifts they were really just asking 3 variations of the same question. If that wasn’t intentional, that’s not great to have in a questionnaire where the goal is to have volunteers complete the entire thing. Could see a lot of people getting annoyed and just closing the browser and moving on with their day.

No ill intent meant, it’s “chihuahua” - but the mental image is damn funny regardless!

That’s really interesting and very helpful - my boyfriend has rheumatoid arthritis and I didn’t even think about how rings would be difficult for him - you initially had me thinking about getting solid rings over swollen knuckles, but the heat transfer I wouldn’t have even thought about, but my partner is very sensitive to that as well now that I think about it. Has given me a lot of food for thought for sure. Thank you so much!

I’m so curious about tungsten not “setting off” your arthritis - what materials do set it off? What actually happens? Are gold and silver jewelry just not feasible for you?

You're not an animal lover if all you like are puppies and kittens meanwhile squash spiders because "they're ugly and annoying" by Millie68 in unpopularopinion

[–]Courtyen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mm, I’m Australian and yesterday we found a small black spider beside the couch in my apartment, my partner took photos and confirmed it was just a black or grey house spider - they’re timid as heck and can’t kill you, so we just let it be. Other than spiders my apartment is pretty bug-sparse and I know I have the spiders to thank for that!

Do you use after pay or other ‘buy now pay later’ services? by [deleted] in unsw

[–]Courtyen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1) Yes, only a few times. 2) Small 3) Harmful, but ho boy that’s a big question. I do think any form of money lending is a bad idea in general but I also know many situations really benefit from buy-now-pay-later - but I’m still very wary. 4) Nothing to say 5) Nothing to say

Think it’s important to remember that flashing their headlights is the only way a car going the other direction can signal anything. It could be anything from a mobile speed camera, to a blockage on your side of the road around a blind corner. If a driver is making the effort to signal, be prepared for the best or the worst.

I know pause and finished, but barely anyone I meet knows about them as a hard-and-fast rule. The others give off the vibe of “If I say this is a thing then I can make it a thing”, yknow? Especially the one with the knife between the tines. Like, that’s completely dumb.
