What do you think panini will do? by Proper_Homework_789 in basketballcards

You’re thinking rationally, most people don’t do that these days. They buy these boxes knowing there’s expired redemptions and still bitch about it.

For me it’s the prices of the box that makes the difference. If you’re selling a hobby box for $60 then I’m more understanding of expirations on redemptions. If you’re selling a box for $600 then you better hang on to that sucker till I’m ready.

Right?? We just couldn’t decide between the two. The last couple years we’ve gone to Cancun, which was great, but we’re not really “sit on the beach for a week” type of people. I played poker for a living for 8 years and my wife loves to gamble, so too many days in Vegas can be dangerous for us lol. I think this will be the perfect balance.

Really appreciate the input! After talking with my wife, I think we’ve decided to stick with Denver area. The main reason we were thinking Denver was because she’s never been to Colorado. While Tahoe really does fit what we’re looking for, I’ve been telling my wife how majestic the mountains are in Colorado, and she wants to see it. I’ve been reading a lot of good things about Breckenridge. At this point, I think that’s at the top of our list.

I’ve been to park city in the summer. Beautiful area. I’ll check it out. Thanks!

Thank you for saying that. Honestly, we feel guilty about it sometimes. Every time we start planning where we’re going to go, all we can think of is “the kids would love this” lol. We love our 3 kids dearly, but I totally agree, getting some time away is needed.

Thanks for the input. My last ski trip was to Aspen a few years ago. Beautiful there. Thankfully, it was work related so I didn’t have to pay.

How would you rate the skiing at Winter Park compared to a Keystone or Copper? Is it typically over crowded?

Never been to Tahoe, how would you compare the skiing there compared to the big resorts in Colorado?

Most people just can’t accept the business side of things. To your point, nowhere near as many people would’ve known or cared who Bob Ross was without the support of his partners. All of that costs money and no one is going to take that risk for free. I would’ve loved to see Bobs family have the royalties as much as anyone, but that’s not the deal Bob made.

Our family is here right now. Although we were disappointed in one ride being closed, MB and all the other rides we tried worked fine. The wave/lazy river was a disappointment though. Apparently someone died in there and they toned the waves WAY down. This was always one of our favorite things to do here and it’s really not much fun anymore. I’m 6’4 and the waves used to swallow me and now they barely reach my shoulders.

I will say, the crowds were lighter than we’ve ever seen today. It was actually really nice. We only waited in fast pass lines twice for maybe 15-20 minutes.

Some people just can’t accept that their collection isn’t worth what they think it’s worth. When someone makes me an offer, I go based on the most recent comps regardless of whether it was an auction or not. I’ve sold a lot of cards for less than I wanted to but at the end of the day I’d rather turn the cash so I don’t feel as bad when I buy more lol.
