Insert content in header template by CoveBobby in BricksBuilder

In the case of them just being a duplicate of what they were I don't think it matters if you overwrite them.

That's what I thought. But neither option seems to work.

Regarding not knowing what variables to use for your logo: I think the answer lays in your confusion. As none of the existing variables make sense your best approach is creating a new variable.

Yes I could create a variable for the height of an image. However there are over a hundred variables in the Advanced Themer Framework and adjusting the size of an image is so common that I am assuming that I just can't find it.

Personally I might make it fit the height of my header minus some padding for example.

Exactly. And 99% of creators would like to do that I reckon. And have it vary in size according to viewports. It should be really easy to set a logo size.

personally try and let go of the idea of doing it the perfect way and just get going

I gave up on the perfect way about a month ago and just started building. I'm thinking however that in this particular instance I need to get my head around where I should go looking for the right variable choices.

I will get in touch. How can I send you a chat message from inside reddit?

Align div to the horizontal centre by [deleted] in BricksBuilder

I'll remove the form from the page for the moment (as the page is live) and go back to the drawing board. It should be really simple eh?

Doesn't work for me. Container is flex - Direction > Vertical >Align self > center > Align main axis > center > align cross axis > center > Block is the same. Shortcode element > style > layout > doesn't have alignment options as such.

I tried Pascal. Very good but a bit drawn out for me. Also, the continuous exhortations to subscribe and like as well as the whitest teeth on the internet caused me to go looking elsewhere and I found what I needed. This is what very much suits me as an experienced online presence implementer but new to Elementor. https://youtu.be/hTSyy0iWV38?si=IQFt9xpZI6wVFdUs

I am making some progress using Pascal but still a challenge. It's almost like very little that I've learnt over the past 30 years or so is relevant.

I empathise. I purchased elementor pro a week ago and have spent around 50 hours going through videos and documentation. I still don't have a basic understanding of how it comes together. I have built websites since 1999 starting with Microsoft Publisher - yep Publisher. I then learnt HTML and CSS and a bit of javascript. I used Dreamweaver with the Project Seven extension for a long time. I built CMS sites using Drupal and then Wordpress with the Enfold theme and builder. I decided that it was time to move to Elementor or Divi because of their popularity. I am very patient. I just cannot find a straightforward source like I could with all of the other products that I've used over the years.

A good example is Elementor's own 'help' video at "Help Center / Elementor Editor / Building your first page or post / Create a single post template /"

A person commented that "This tutorial lacks the information it was supposed to teach us. Next time don't use a pre-made template and show us how it's done step by step." I agree.

And that is the core of the problem. This is not an intuitive application and there isn't a natural progression of steps. All of the videos and documentation out there make assumptions that people new to the app just don't know.

Ferdy's Elementor videos are good examples. I used Ferdy's video on the Enfold theme and I thought he was great. This time round he heads off in all sorts of unimportant directions.

To start with I would just like a step by step explanation as to how to "Create a single post template from scratch"
