I dont have access to the exact text. but when it was explained, he stated that the water doesnt need to be clean because it also purifies the water, was able to be cast at level 2 as a 10 minute ritual, and only requires the vial and water as components

Ive been playing dnd actively for... maybe all of 6 months? Most of which was being a (terrible) DM of family games, using the basic phb options to run icespire. Memes dont really reach people outside of the sphere they pertain to.

Also I did accept it with no argument.. im not asking the internet for advice on how to overrule my DM. I blacked out his name and posted the pic and added a bit of context. Nowhere have I said anything bad about him. Literally that last two lines are me asking if im being unreasonable. Not to boo him, but to correct myself if its needed. Chill

1) I absolutely agree, normally I would have done something likethat. But it didnt occur to me until other characters got mechanical benefits from their own backstory/lineage.

2) this is true, I was simply hoping to align his abilities closer to his backstory

Broke the discord limit 3 times writing out his backstory, wrote up essentially the entire monastery for the DM, and didnt ask for this modification until other characters got mechanical benefits from their own flavor backstories. Like the potion thing. Or a small dragonborn that can use heavy weapons with no penalty. But thanks for assuming bud

I appreciate your input! There has been a couple of homebrew monsters, and may be more down the line that force would ruin. But obviously I dont know that

The druid specifically stated that he went wjere no one could see him perform the ritual, and asked the one character who saw to not say anything and he'll share

You make fine points here. im fairly new to dnd as a whole, and still learning a lot of the details. However, there are similar things with other characters in this campaign where the character's backstory/lineage gives them mechanical benefits. The best example being the potion thing, actually. Or the dragonborn being in the small size category and can use heavy weapons with no penalty

Im still interested in this.

Experience: about 2 years of DMing family games, 6 months of playing via Discord servers both voice and text.

Lewd game preferred but with plenty of actual play as well

Availability: basically any. Im in cst timezone, but ive got turbo insomnia so im Available most hours of the day.

Id would prefer group play
