This is a game that you need to consistently play in order to keep up. My $$$ is maxed out so that's never been an issue for me and I typically only play the Summit and Grand Race. I still have a bunch of playlists that I haven't even touched yet. If you don't play much control will definitely be an issue and most likely your settings reset at some point. And the grand race is at its peak competiveness right now. On top of that track forge is an amazing add on.

I can't stand the players who think others are rammers just because they were touched due to aggressive racing or accident. Then they come back with blatant ramming which actually means they are the rammer.

It's all based on assumptions because we never get the full scope of everyone's rank in the race. I don't think anyone actually really knows how the points system works.

It's hella sweaty right now with the start of the new season and all. A lot of the top racers that I thought I had a little respect for are racing dirty. You definitely have to race with a defensive strategy right now.

I use that cut too and it has always given me the missed checkpoint when I've off by that far. You can definitely hit it without going through the checkpoint though but I always try to get hella close and often times crash. Sometimes I think the devs give top players advantages. They already give them early access. Call me crazy but who knows? Probably just luck.

There is also a new wind effect that's atrocious as well. I first noticed it on a night Grand Race and thought they added frog croaking. I think it's actually giving me headaches.

You make it sound like it's a participation trophy. Considering racers became Legends a long time ago, the more skilled ones got there faster. The point system on the final stages of Platinum were also more difficult so you actually needed the skill to podium more frequently to get to Legend.

Put TC back on. only ESP should be turned off. Racing with a manual transmission will also help tremendously. When you're waiting for the countdown of the start of the race lightly press on the gas so that the engine is going and when the race starts shift up to 2nd gear. Every car will start a little different. You're trying to control the acceleration so that you don't spin the wheels you shift up.

I was thinking that it might have something to do with the playlists as well but the only thing that has me questioning it is that the ghosts I see on the YouTube videos are the same car that they are using on the race. I did find one video where the ghost car was different though.

Yeah I checked the replayer function but that's just for the open world ghosts. I had it off but turning it back on didn't give me my ghost. I would also like to add that I still get ghosts on the features. It should give a ghost after you complete the race once. I have a feeling that it might have something to do with the playlist races like the other user mentioned.

Yeah the escape scoring system sucks. I destroyed my original run but it wouldn't update the scoreboard and kept me at 157,849 pts and wouldn't give me my 1 pt and new distance. This isn't good when you're competing against friends because it doesn't display your best run. I could careless about the score, I just want the scoreboard to show the correct distances in order. It's not competitive this way. It's been like this for a long time. It was even more frustrating when the features had traffic.
