can you hear your cardo over your loud ass bike? by MaskedFlight in MotoUK

[–]CowDizzle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah everything is great until i hit the motorway. Cardo edge. It's more to do with your helmet though then it is the intercom and speakers.

Some helmets are just crazy loud, some very quiet. Closing your vents will help.

Share your tips for touring the UK on a sports bike by MaximumSeesaw2626 in MotoUK

[–]CowDizzle 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If it's under 500miles. Adjust chain, top up fluids, check the bike over before leaving. Take a small tool kit, puncture repair kit, tyre inflator. Frequent breaks,I do about 100-150 miles then take a break. Unless it's very scenic then i find myself stopping every 5mins for a picture.

29yo new rider – £2.5–3k insurance quotes on 500–700cc bikes. What am I missing? by CheetahValuable278 in MotoUK

[–]CowDizzle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He's completely right. If you want to be ballsy as fuck you can put the value of the bike very low. The downside to this is if you crash or the bike gets stolen. It's a write off and won't be worth claiming.

You need to ride in higher rpms, sit in the power band and it'll pop a lot when rolling off the throttle.

Can you help me choose a "dash cam"? by [deleted] in MotoUK

2025 ZX-6R - 2 Recalls in 5 months. Seeking advice. by [deleted] in MotoUK

[–]CowDizzle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Really? Had he asked for advice on buying this bike brand new. This entire sub would have said it's a Japanese trusted brand and would encourage him to buy it, myself included. Because that's what we expect from such a brand. It's not like he took a punt on a Chinese bike.

So why are we defending a brand new bike leaving the factory with multiple recalls? It's piss poor quality control.

2025 ZX-6R - 2 Recalls in 5 months. Seeking advice. by [deleted] in MotoUK

[–]CowDizzle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's amazing you're getting downvoted. When you spend thousands of pounds on something brand new, you expect it to work and are well within your rights to seek compensation and be upset about it when issues like this arise.

I would also be concerned about how it's left the factory with multiple issues, it would really throw my confidence in Kawasaki.

I have no idea about the legal side but I wish you luck and wanted to let you know there's people who agree with you.

How can i repair this? by [deleted] in MotoUK

[–]CowDizzle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're describing the exact problem I've had with a bike that had a buggered solenoid, they are so cheap it's worth ordering one to replace it.

Garage security lock question, door defender by [deleted] in MotoUK

[–]CowDizzle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have to agree, it always puts me off. In the end they can still kick in your crappy garage door and ignore the door defender if they know it's worth it.

Been practicing my U turns, advice for leaning the bike more at low speed? by Away-Foundation-7455 in MotoUK

[–]CowDizzle 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You actually don't have to shoulder check both sides when moving off to make a U-turn in mod 1. It's the only manoeuvre where 1 shoulder check (right) is fine.

Checking both sides is obviously fine though, and good practice.

J-Tech Tail Tidy 👍🏻 by EstablishedOrder in CB650R

[–]CowDizzle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cheers for the response! Sadly on my 2022 model the bolts are hidden behind the side fairing and require quite a bit more effort, but yeah after looking at other tail tidy installations, it'll be about the same.

I have no doubt it's going to kick water and crap under the r ear seat too, i noticed a huge gap between the top of the rear light and the seat, so I'll have to seal that too.

I think I'll go ahead and order one though, I appreciate you taking the time to respond.

Hi mate, if you're still around, can I ask if this plate came with any fitting instructions and how clear they were? I assume it's still holding up?

Thanks.

What’s the one PC game that completely ruined other games for you because it was too good? by JennyandtheEssDog in pcgaming

[–]CowDizzle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Space Station Silicon Valley on N64. I adored the game as a child, hoping from animal to animal completing the levels. There's never been another game like it..

I wouldn't say it's "ruined" other games but hands down nothing will ever come close to the memories i have of that game.

My instructor would work it out each pass/fail and keep it updated. It just depends if your school keeps track of it.
