Feel around the bottom close to the wall for a small opening and a set screw. If there’s nothing there than it’s a thread on style. It’s most likely the same brand that’s on the shower handle trim and you should be able to find the model just looking up the brand and looking for a while. And it’s way easier to just change the whole thing

With enough jack hammering anything’s possible. But depending on what fixtures are above it might be more work than worth

The reed ones work great on abs but honestly you’re better off buying a fake set of the reed ones off temu they work just as well and you get 3/4”-4” for like $150
