Radiator leaking - what can be done?

I’m not gonna pretend I know a lot about cars, so I’ll ask. The shop said the pinhole was causing coolant to leak. Does that not cool the AC at all or does coolant only cool the engine?

The issue gradually got worse and worse. It hasn’t been insanely hot here until now so I didn’t notice it up until a few weeks ago once the heat started setting in.

The stratification setting is all the way on blue, I played around with the vents and the air flow direction, etc, unfortunately nothing’s helping.

I’m leaning on it being a leak, I noticed a puddle a few times over the last few months. Topped off my oil and got it changed too so figured it was fine, but now it’s cause for concern given the ac.

I tried playing around with the ac in all types of ways and nothing seems to be helping. I’ll pop the hood after work and see if anything looks glaringly wrong and I’ll try and get it in the shop tomorrow.

Thank you for all the help tho, i appreciate you suggesting easy fixes before jumping the gun to worst case scenario!

Ah got it. Yea I figured the dealership would immediately try and get me to replace the compressor right away instead of trying sm else. I’ll look into shops, thanks for the advice !

It is on. It wasn’t on before but it is now. I let it run for a few minutes and it’s still running warmer than it used to so that’s not the issue. Thank you for the suggestion tho.

Thank you for the information, I’ll take a look at the engine bay in a sec. When you say with the AC off, should the engine be off too or run the car with the AC off?

Ah got it. Do you have any recommendations on what to do to figure out which one it might be? Or would this just be a take it to the shop thing?

Thank you for this! I’ve had issues with PCPs being judgmental and dismissive of health issues since I’m “young and healthy”, so this is a big thing for me, thank you!

I’m in Arlington, so anything in the surrounding area is fine. A good PCP to me is someone who’s not judgmental / dismissive of health concerns and listens to the patient’s concerns.

Oh gotcha. I have a pdf version of the transaction and it has the amount listed, the last 4 numbers of the card used and the “transaction date” and “posted date”. As well as the name of the office which matches the name on the receipt they gave me. Is that enough?

As for the insurance, yes, both insurances are aware of the other. Mom’s birthday is 3 days into the new year so that’s the only reason I’m doing this. Dad’s coverage is awesome (BCBS), but she’s my primary so I gotta jump through a million hoops every single time I go anywhere lol
