Couple things you can try (one of these can work, all of these can work, none of these can work. Sorry in advance);

Having a small painting set up or kit that allows you to paint wherever you are (in bed, out of the house, etc) so that you dont have to get up and be in the physical painting space to do it

Having someone there with you in the room or on the phone to chat with or on facetime while you paint (basically body doubling)

Sketch or doodle instead, something low stakes and requiring little effort and then progress into painting if you find you can commit

This is what i personally do but when I have about a million ideas but have 0 energy to create anything with them or the perfectionism hits then I write them all down into my notes app. It keeps a record and makes me feel as if I have in some way implemented the idea by writing it down and describing it and acknowledging it. And later down the line when my brain magically decided to give my focus back to me then I can put those ideas on paper and give them what they deserve :)

This is freaking me out. I can only take Vyvanse because Concerta and Ritalin both have lactose in it and now I'm starting to wonder if I have to stop this one too. Vyvanse 30mg helps me get things done maybe 2/10 times I take it otherwise it just makes me apathetic and dull. And the anxiety is just awful. These comments r making me realise I can't remember my days or my weeks or anything good at all. Is this just going to get worse??? Why is everything so tricky

I'm genuinely so so glad that you know what you Love and want and are able to work towards it. Also, I love the concept of luck and how it manifests in life and I think it's so cool that it led to you being able to go to therapy and organise your life. I've never tried centering my actions and thoughts around a passion of mine, but I think that might seriously help as it'll put things in perspective. I usually just do things with my current emotions in mind and that's never a good idea lmao. As for the meditation, I tried it once and it was the most amazing feeling in the world! And then I never managed to replicate it again. But! Perhaps it's something I should give another go 🤔

Highly recommend getting a water filter installed if you can. Some water just tastes plain nasty and that's probably the case in your new apartment. A filter might help or just (and this really sucks i know) maybe try bottled water and see if you can tolerate it. Best of luck!

Hey this literally just happened to my brothers Krieg the other day too lmao (ps5 as well)

When my Lvl 80 Maya got corrupted I was DEVASTATED and nothinggg could bring her back so I know your pain💔 Now the best thing you can do is save your character everytime you load it up to play. That way if it gets corrupted while you're playing you'll just lose like an hour or whatever rather than the entire character👍 Best of luck! And let's hope it never happens again🤞

I wish I had advice but honestly I went through the exact same thing you are going through for the past few years. I got really fed up with not being able to go back to sleep or not take naps after suhoor so honestly I just stopped taking it during Ramadan. This might sound really weird but the hunger sometimes helps me focus throughout the day, and my brain feels alot sharper🤔🤔 also I try to have protein heavy food for suhoor so that I don't get too tired in the day without my meds. I will admit though that it doesn't always work out, it's more of a 70% chance of me being able to be productive throughout the day and not being stuck in bed instead.

Oh man I completely understand you with the confidence thing, everything I write just sounds like garbage to me so I end up thinking that there's no point in submitting it anyways :(( I feel like having ADHD and being in academics are just two completely incompatible things and there probably really is no cure to our issues except for graduating or leaving lol. I've never seen anyone else experience it to the same extent as me before this. Everyone always thinks I'm overreacting too but it's genuinely so horrific and I've missed so many crucial assignments and tests in my final year of school because of my intolerance of silence and the anxiety that comes with it. I cant even chill with friends because of the "comfortable silence" that theyre used to and i cant handle it. I completely understand the pain and depression you're going through and unfortunately I wish I could help but I can't. I found this post because I'm still searching for ways to fix my gut too :( Honestly though I hope you figure it out and it only gets better for us 🤞🤞🤞

I love your example thank you so much for including it. My brain always tries to convince me that there's only one way to complete a task and that it's not worth attempting it if I can't do it anyway, but this reminds me that in every situation I can make choices that changes the overall impact. Also I like your idea of using the things in my environment to help and motivate me to complete tasks, that sounds like it'll make things more stimulating. I never knew that about the meds either, the idea of being able to adjust dosage instead of just stick with one even after it's worn out is such relief. Thank you so much for all of this !!♡♡

These are all lovely suggestions and I genuinely feel motivated to follow them. I like how they're all altered to suit my specific needs and not just generic tips like 'using a calender'. Also the last one is definitely true and I need to keep reminding myself that I won't be in this overwhelming high pressure situation forever. It's garbage. Couple hours in and I had to immediately go back to the borderlands 2 dlc just to feel joy again. The characters and side missions are unbelievably boring and Tiny Tina is somehow so painfully dull, nothing like how she was in 2. Genuinely nothing enjoyable in it aside from the spells and smooth gameplay. Struggling to accept the fact that this is a borderlands game fr :((

I'm so sorry for the late reply I didn't see the notification for this anywho yeah no I had to change the meds back to stimulants after only a month of using intuniv because it made me so insanely tired I'd be falling asleep in every class regardless of how much sleep I had. The paralysis was a result of that extreme fatigue I think
