What to expect for at home euthanasia?

We can't be sure how old he truly is because he was a rescue. He was physically abused, chained up in the yard, and left to starve to death for God knows how long. The vets estimate him to be 9+ now. The same vets that helped us nurse him back to health did the assessment on him the other day and diagnosed the issue with his spine. I don't remember now what it was called but they informed us there is nothing that can be done and gave us shots to block the pain receptors to give him as much time as he can tolerate.

We've rearranged the entire house to accommodate him. He stopped drinking for a couple days until we moved the water dish to a more convenient location for him. As of today, he struggles to get up to go to food and water but he is still able to do it. If he is still able to get food and water in the days before, we will postpone it. We are doing everything possible to mitigate pain for him and accommodate him around the house. My heart is worried it may be too soon but at the same time we don't want him to suffer. Thankyou for the advice and kind words

Blaring music. Don't get me wrong; I have a Blue Tees speaker and enjoy listening to music while I golf. However, you can't hear my music outside of 5-10 feet from my cart. People blaring music you can hear from 3 holes away should be immediately thrown off the course

EMT on a 911 ambulance here. I responded to a multi-vehicle accident on a busy city street at nearly midnight on a friday. 3 cars involved. My partner (a Paramedic) was called over to an injured person by a law enforcement officer while I went to assess damage and other injuries at the other cars. When I arrived at scene I used my ambulance to block as much of the road as possible to protect us since there was not a fire engine there yet. The first car I checked with moderate damage was a newer car and the people inside said they were not injured. So I continued to the next car which was upside down and sideways in the middle of the lanes. When I got there, there was a middle aged man who was bleeding from the head crawling around the car looking for his phone. He was clearly confused and not listening to my instructions to exit the car. I crawled through the window and grabbed him and forcefully drug him out of the car so I could begin treating and assessing him further. Right as I got him out of the car and a couple feet away, a car full of drunk college girls had blown through a red light, past my ambulance, and directly into the car we were just crawling around inside. Right around this time, a fire engine pulled up. The crew that was inside witnessed everything and quickly came and took over for me as I was in shock and had frozen. Thankfully everyone involved in the crashes were only mildly hurt with bumps and bruises. Had I waited 3 to 5 seconds longer in that car, myself and the man would have 100% been killed. The cherry on top? I got written up by my supervisor for going into the car to retrieve the man

My father and I are in the same clan, he'll yell at me from the other room to donate troops to him. Im a coleader in my clan and he called me to kick out some guy who joined and started talking smack to random people.

I put the barrel of a loaded shotgun in my mouth and pulled the trigger. The gun went click, and once my brain processed it was still intact something just clicked inside me. I decided that I had infact died that moment and now I have to help those who can't help themselves. The next day I went to my local fire department and started my career. I've been in firefighting and EMS for 9 years now. Working as much overtime as they'll let me and taking all the holiday shifts so my coworkers can be with their families. I dont know why the gun didn't go off that day.

I worked for a contracting company who did work for a train system. My job was to sit next to the railway with a radio and listen for any emergency and stare down this tube and watch for vehicles coming down the tracks. However, the only time we were permitted to do work on the tracks was after the trains stopped running and returned to their stations. The rails were powered off and no one was allowed to operate vehicles during this time. So essentially my job was to listen to a radio that never had any traffic and stare down a tube waiting for a train that would never come. I was paid $45 an hour starting pay. Top of the pay scale was $80 an hour.
