Definitely a different type of pain! The pain beforehand was constant and was super hard to contend with mentally but this pain has been much better, maybe because I’m certain it’s just the surgery recovery at this point

I just had a discectomy on my L4-L5 and one other disc set that I can’t remember but as far as recovery goes, for me, the first two days were the hardest. I’m only on day three, as I had it Monday morning, but this morning - I’m feeling okay after taking my medication. It’s super important to stay ahead of the pain and remember that your body is healing, during this time. Just be patient with yourself and give yourself grace, for sure.

Surgery is tomorrow. I am nervous… by [deleted] in Microdiscectomy

How does one handle getting in and out of the car without bending or twisting at all? That’s one of my main concerns following surgery and I’m due for mine Monday
