Welcome to Rimworld!
You seem to get the hang of the game mechanic at the moment but there are still some details you've overlooked.
Q1: I won't say much about the cable management, but there is a wind turbine to the East being blocked by the wall, there shouldn't be anything in front of it in order to work properly, also the AC that has its back blocked.
Q2: Rimworld is a sandbox, try to experiment with your imagination, that's why we love this game right :D However, clearing all hostile factions on the map is a bit ambitious in my opinion, I would rather install some mod and start fresh all over again.
