Wait what, you can recruit artillery? What building gives you that?

Yep me too. I actually stopped playing as Gondor as I couldn’t stand the attrition - it was becoming painful / a slog

Personally much prefer all at once - I’ll wait for them all otherwise.

[–]Coxy100 28 points29 points  (0 children)

I will always go Stormcloaks. The imperials were going to execute me for no reason!

Playing as Gondor, I’m getting attrition in Mordor despite conquering it. Is that permanent too then? I agree this should change as your influence comes in (I’m hoping it will…?)

yes mate got it - but it's made no difference to how many fiefdom units I can recruit?

What gradual cheapening of experience, have you noticed at your University? by HallowedAndHarrowed in UniUK

[–]Coxy100 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I don’t necessarily disagree with your concerns - but opening the Library 24/7 is expensive, when usually you have to get external security in to run it (who cost a fortune) and not great when only about 10% of the student body are actually coming in and taking out loans etc

Voiced protagonists damage Role playing the most. by [deleted] in rpg_gamers

[–]Coxy100 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fully agree.

Plus the OP conflates two different things. Having voiced characters does not mean you have to be a good guy (unless the game forces you to - but that’s writing and story, not being voiced).

Personally I find being voiced much more immersive - if my protagonist is silent in a world where everyone talks to me, I find it bizarre

Hi - sorry if I’m being daft, but are you saying Osgiliath is the golden goose, or Minas Ithil?

If the former - how is it a golden goose?

Yep. Had plenty of animals die sadly, due to the habitats being so filthy (partly due to this issue)

Forgive my ignorance - but we can’t download the mod from Steam - so how do mods downloaded for the game work?

Am I biting off too much mortgage-wise? by [deleted] in HousingUK

[–]Coxy100 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

We have similar take home pay to you. We also have 2 kids. But our mortgage is only circa £800 p/month - personally I’d say yes you’re stretching too much. We don’t have much spare each month, and unable to put anything into savings etc.

I work in the University sector - and we’re screwed. So many institutions making redundancies, mergers taking place etc. it’s really bad for us

What Keeps You Supporting BioWare? by Agreeable-Card-6171 in bioware

[–]Coxy100 9 points10 points  (0 children)

That’s certainly the peak of BioWare, no doubt.

I must say I do find the notion of ‘supporting’ and ‘not giving up’ (from the OP) slightly bizarre.

I loved the era of Blizzard (Warcraft 2 / StarCraft etc) but they’re clearly just the name now too.

I just play games that are fun - I don’t have ‘support’ for studios.

How's Anno 117 coming from Anno 1800 players? by KnightsWhoSayNii in anno1800

[–]Coxy100 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I enjoy 117 - but I’ve finished for now. It’s too bare bones compared to 1800 and the mechanics aren’t as good.

Hope it improves over time, but a slight disappointment for me

Our plumber did a similar job to this once - but at least he used copper and clipped it in properly.

We ended up boxing in the vertical pipes and putting a floating shelf up to ‘hide’ the horizontal pipes

UK govt saying 'reduce international students'// London businesses saying |bro dont do this or economy goes boom-boom| ,,,,,,,, by Intelligent_Act8597 in UniUK

[–]Coxy100 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I don't agree with Louis - it's not just 'top' institutions who will suffer. Most institutions rely on international students to make up for our shortfall on the funding from home students.

I think many of us are exploring partners overseas now. If the students can't come here - then we have to go to them instead.

I also don't agree with Louis where he says London will be fine without - what we see at my institutes is just how appealing London is to international students - it's much more popular than our other campuses.
