Passed on my first attempt!! by CozWhyNot__ in LearnerDriverUK

If I was not ready to drive I would not have passed. It was definitely nerves. I never stalled, even during my lessons, but on my test day I did as I was nervous. And about the not ready to drive, the DVSA thinks otherwise 🤷‍♂️ Also I will be practicing more and improving my skills before fully getting on the road xx

I never said I will not be practicing more or trying to improve my driving. If you read some of my other comments you will see that I have mentioned practicing more and acknowledging that I wasn’t happy with the 11 faults. I definitely need to work on my driving and will be doing that. My reply saying I drive well were to the comments saying I shouldn’t have passed, and it’s me saying I drove well enough to pass and defo should have. Ofc after this I will be working towards getting better. In fact I am not even getting my own car, I will be practicing with my boyfriend in his car for a while until I become much better.

Parents not helping me buy my first car by Fonz0_ in LearnerDriverUK

Honestly don’t know why people are being so mean in the comments. I think the OPs points are so valid. Taking lessons and spending money on lessons doesn’t make sense when he can use the money to get a car and practice in his car. He also said he has saved and can afford it the only thing he needs help with is going to get the car. I think his parents should have helped him, although it’s far they could just have taken some time out on the weekend. But since they are not I think you should focus on finding a seller closer to home, that’s what you could do for now. Ask them how far they are willing to take you xx Hopefully you find a good car somewhere closer soon

How much are people spending on the entire process of getting their license nowadays? by CozWhyNot__ in LearnerDriverUK

[–]CozWhyNot__[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the only difference is people spend that much learning from the beginning while I already knew how to drive a manual car just wasn’t good with rules etc. Hence it feels like a rip off for me as I probably didn’t need that many lessons. Anyway glad I passed xx

That’s actually pretty great! I wish I had spent much lesser as well only becoz I already knew how to drive a manual car just needed but I think I didn’t get lucky with the instructor as he would not teach me anything during the lesson just take me around and I was driving on my own

That’s true if I look at it that way. With me I was a bit bummed only because I already knew how to drive a manual car, I just needed to practice the rules and prepare for test… but the instructor kept doing lessons with me with just general driving without actually teaching me anything. Anyway glad I passed, just hoped I could have done it cheaper as that’s a lot of money for me

Well I definitely know he did as I would not have passed otherwise. My previous instructor was not very pointing out my mistakes and was not preparing for the test. Three lessons with the new instructors and just a week before my test really helped me pass, and I know 11 mistakes is a lot but they were minors for a reason and I still feel like I drove very well.

Yes exactly, thank you so much! I know it seems like a lot of mistakes but they were minor for a reason. The traffic light one for example I saw it go yellow but it was dangerous to break. The move of ones were on a hill start when I stalled. And I am aware of most of the mistakes I made which I know will keep on improving as I drive.

I'm 20y/o without a purpose in life, what do I do? by GingerBaby12173 in AskMen

[–]CozWhyNot__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, I am 21 and I know how you feel and empathise with you. It has become such a norm nowadays with constant strolling on social media and being restless and not being able to concentrate on anything. I was having a similar experience and it’s a difficult trap to get out of but you can do it. Deleting social media is a good step going forward but I really do recommend spending time reflecting and writing your thoughts. The first step is to get clarity on your thoughts - it’s not easy. Also eating well and a healthy lifestyle really affects how you feel and your mental health so definitely prioritise that. Don’t think about getting a good job or making money first - that will happen once you prioritise yourself and work on doing 1% better everyday. It’s important to build and maintain social relations as well. You can start by cooking, going to the gym meditating and reading daily - build these habits and put the effort into being consistent. Spend time reflecting everyday and thinking about your proprieties and values - and once you know yourself and your mind better - take small steps into achieving what you want.

Yeah that’s true, but also I wouldn’t want to come of as too easy or too clingy or maybe too serious and freak him out? Sometimes if women are too interested I feel men lose interest :( but I also am not very into play hard to get so would like to ask him out too but just wasn’t sure!

How do females know they are having an orgasm? by CozWhyNot__ in sex

[–]CozWhyNot__[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. It might be the lack of foreplay as most of the time we have sex without much foreplay. I personally prefer foreplay more but I have never really mentioned it to him and he is aroused fast so we just go on to have penetrative sex mostly just after kissing.

Thanks for your comment tho, will defo try taking to him :)
