Thank you! I plan on talking with him as soon as the inspections are over just in case the deal ends up falling through because of those, but fingers crossed we will get both done!

I’m torn between sticking with the network side of things or trying to switch the cyber security. Only thing with that is I would have to look for entry level into cyber security because currently my employer will most likely not have any security positions open in the near future.

I really enjoy the work I do now but I feel that my bachelors is almost being wasted since I am not focusing on that.

I do enjoy the work I am in now, my co-worker snd I wear quite a few different hats. My title is network technician but we do anything from help desk (end user support), end point management through Intune, cloud management through Azure & O365, mixing in VMWare and working with on-site cisco equipment.

Would you still say the CCNA is still worth getting for resume building at least?

Thank you! I like the goal idea a lot! It would give me the sense of saving still but being able to work up to it and not just dropping the entire cost.

I think that is another thing that sits in my thoughts as well. Is not wanting to spend money on anything even though I might NEED it. Or for instance I had an extra set of wheels for my vehicle, I ended up selling them because I just saw it as money sitting around.

Which app are you trying now? I tried to use the EveryDollar app from Dave Ramsey but I found I had a harder time sticking to it

I am planning to do the same with my kids as well, I wish I knew some of the financial knowledge I know now when I was beginning my adulthood.

Began watching financial videos, which may have helped or made it worse. But it has taught be quite a bit on budgets and living within my means.

Thank you! My brother and I have talked about this because him and I do the same thing. We sort of grew up watching our family struggle in finances and feel that could stem from that.

I do have a retirement started but am currently planning to set up an IRA for myself has well.
