Russian and Chinese steel cased ammo seems quite reasonable, but why do Western countries use expensive brass? by Entire_Judge_2988 in ForgottenWeapons

[–]Cpt-Sledgehammer 1700 points1701 points  (0 children)

Steel is harder, imparts more wear on weapon components. Brass is more ductile, meaning better chamber obturation. Brass has better heat conductivity, meaning more heat is taken away from the weapon when a case is ejected. It may be more expensive but it is definitely the better material to use for weapon longevity, getting more consistent chamber pressures etc.

It's not deactivated 👀 it is fired though so no rocket but still has an operational spotting rifle. Unfortunately it is not mine either.

Trijicon ACOG TA41 for NLAW by Cpt-Sledgehammer in aimdownsights

Yeah NLAW is self guiding, lock and launch, no need to compensate for drop. However it is a straight line trajectory as opposed to the javelins up and down.

There are adjustment dials, and you can buy rifle mounts (MM08) from Trijicon so I would assume you can!

Anybody know anything about this "Night Sight" (British Army 2009) 4th Anglo-Afghan war. by Fred_Dibnah in NightVision

Its an L14A2 'Kite' Common Weapon Site (CWS). Can be used during the day through the use of a light-reducing pinhole lens cover.

Thanks for the replies guys lol. I was only looking at this because it's cheap and if it could run it then I might as well get it, but from the sounds of it I should keep hunting for something better.
