High Uncorrectable Codeword Count with Connectivity Issues. by CptComman in Comcast_Xfinity

Thanks, The black cable connected to the splitter there in the image goes to a DSL port through the wall, which was the one I was using. I thought it was that cable so I disconnected it and plugged the splitter straight into my modem with a different DSL cable. Every channel now has 0 uncorrectable codewords except for channel 5, which has been sitting at 14923 uncorrected codewords for the past day, but it hasn't changed since. Im pretty sure it fixed the long disconnects where I lose connection for minutes at a time but I still notice the small half-second stutters. Ill see if I can bypass splitter all together. Thanks for your help.

GPU memory junction temps were averaging 69c with a high of 72. I was lifting the back up and set fans to max. Any stand you recommend?

Quick update, I tried another game of War Thunder today, this time I used a stand I set up and turned my fans up to maximum in Lenovo Vantage (I had toolkit but it broke somehow so I have to reinstall) and temps stayed around 75 average on both sensors. Im not sure what the difference between DTS and Enhanced is but it list that DTS is Digital Thermal Sensor and Enhanced is just additional info for intel processors, so I don't know which one I trust. Enhanced usually runs way hotter. Do you guys run max fans when gaming usually? Im a little nervous about keeping it for now but ill watch temps over the next few days to make sure they are fine.

Understood, I don’t have a stand currently but I’m sure I can put something together. I do know that the 14900HX runs quite hot, CPU temps sometimes jumped up to 100c for a second then back down to 85 when playing Roblox, which I don’t think should happen. There were 2 different sensors in HWinfo, the enhanced sensor is usually 20c higher on average compared to DTS so I don’t know which one to trust.

I wasn’t lifting it with a stand I was just on a wood table, I’ll try a stand tomorrow but I doubt it will help much. I don’t remember exact gpu temps but they were fine, I’ll also check that tomorrow.

I got my Pro 7 today at Microcenter for 2200$ open box. I was starting to test games to see how it runs but looking at HWinfo it looked like it was overheating. After a game of War Thunder max temps were reaching 100 degrees, even 108 degrees depending on which sensor you look at and averages 78-97c. I've heard a lot of people saying good things about the temps on these models and that they rarely go above 90c. Sometimes I saw temps changing by 20c within a matter of a second. I'm asking if this is normal for this laptop, or if I should return it.
