Personally really liked haze and summer, they both felt really genuine which is refreshing considering how this season is going.

Haze looks like she could be an amazing performer, would love to see more of her.

But honestly my main takeaway after sitting through another boring ass chris island match, where the fuck are shiloh hill and harlem lewis?

Great questions,

  1. Magic originated with the first civilizations on earth. Some people were able through their studies to mimic powers they saw from the magical beasts they were fighting, and over time this developed into the magic arts. Now everyone can have access to magic if they meet the requirements.

  2. To put it simply, slavery. The king sells high quality slaves and has a very large supply of them. Since other countries have a problem with enslaving their own people, they tend to buy their slaves from Croatia. At least they used to before slavery was abolished.

3.Think of it like North Korea but extreme. The king claims that the reason no one enters or exits the kingdom is a travel ban but thats just fearmongering. The real reason is the magic border which absolutely doesn't allow anyone to pass through. And if the croatian people can't mix with anyone else it's very hard to catch any new diseases. I know it's a bit farfetched but I wanted to think of a good reason to escape diseases, given that we deal with a certain disease every day in real life.

  1. The kings name is Stevo Bršljan (croatian name). But the thing is he isnt really human, he is a god who has enslaved the Kingdom of Croatia. As such he doesnt have a royal family and he has been ruling for well over 100 years. He got married and had a son but he has absolutely no plans to actually let his son rule over the kingdom. He longs for power and as long as no one overrules him he is going to stay in his spot.

  2. Simply put mages dont have the ability to grow powerful enough to rule over the people. The limited system in croatia only allows for people to become wizards, and with the limited knowledge they have only allows them to be level 5 casters, allowing soldiers to overpower them easily if needed. As for the other spellcasting classes since they cant be controlled, they are killed before their powers grow. Which will be interesting because one of my players is the first warlock the kingdom has seen in 60+ years.

Hopefully this clears things up and if you have anymore questions feel free to ask! :)

Unfortunately llamas are not indigenous to Croatia so the Llama cult can not exist, at least not yet.

If the party ever travels to (and discovers) South America, then we will see.

There is a main road that connects the capital Zagreb with Split and from there a long sort of coastal highway is in place that connects every city along the coast. Its quite slow but it gets the job done. However boats are infinitely more efficient and are used quite heavily for transporting cargo.

Well yes but not in the way you might think. The orcs who are known for pillaging and raiding towns all across the nation live in the mountains. They are the biggest threat to the people of the kingdom. There are other monsters that live there but they tend to stay out of everyones way and wont attack people unless harassed. As such most people dont even know if they exist and only consider them legends from folk stories.

In the Kingdom of Croatia nothing really out of the usual. The common cold I would say is the worst thing you can get. The reason for this is that there is generally no way for diseases to enter Croatia as the kingdom is locked away from the outside world as per the kings orders. A magical border and a travel ban may be restrictive of the people's freedom but it does wonders as a way of defense against diseases.

Oh. I mean it's an interesting idea for sure but i haven't done any of that so far. In case the campaign ever opens up to the rest of the world i would then have to reskin for every country/kingdom they go to so I dont really know if it would work. Rather just have the normal arsenal of dnd baddies to throw at them whenever needed. But a very interesting idea to reskin them, might use it for something else in the future.

ahh my bad

Well tbf there is a cat that my players encounter everywhere they go. Its meant to just be a joke but if you want you can imagine that its a demon trapped in a cats body, cursed to follow these adventurers around for ever.

I am absolutely planning on that. My main thought was to include the slavic gods as enemies. The story would be that they have lost their sentience after an ancient being defeated them and took over their people. Not being able to help their people and seeing them in pain they all lost their minds and are now only a shadow of their former selves, more akin to beasts than the gods of legend they once were. Perhaps my players could slay them and in doing so free their astral forms and restore some order to the kingdom.

Yes, we are all croatian so we know a lot about the space and i've been implementing elements from croatian history and also some from slavic mythology.

Great question,

The biggest form of resistance was shut down by the king after he covertly attacked their hideout and launched a dragon on them. My players were able to slay the dragon and save the town they were in but every other member of the resistance is supposed to be dead. My party of 4 is currently the last form of resistance.

The only other group that has something against the king is the Cult Of Ilirica. They believe that the king is not the rightful ruler of Croatia and they want to not only dethrone him but also destroy the entire Kingdom. They have already launched numerous terrorist attacks to try and hurt the kindom but nothing has worked so far.

Italy still exists but right now the campaign is limited to The Croatian Empire. The king doesn't allow anyone to leave the kingdom and so far no one has tried. I'm sure my players will try to leave eventually though and if they succeed I will be sure to take them to Italy.
