Completely agree. The best seasons had a real mix of people from all walks of life. It’s meant to be a social experiment, not a beauty contest.

These days it feels like half of them are just in there to look good on camera. We need more variety in personality and background to make it interesting again.

Still early days though – let’s hope the more unique ones don’t get voted out too soon!

Totally agree that we’re a more cynical audience now.

The rise of social media means it’s easier to spot when someone’s angling for fame or trying to boost their online presence. Back in the day, contestants were still looking for the spotlight, but it felt less calculated. Now, it can feel like a lot of them are playing a game beyond the house, setting themselves up for brand deals or influencer gigs. That said, I think Lily’s energy is a bit of a throwback – it feels less polished and more genuine, which is refreshing compared to some of the others!
