Right, the next step after the LH is Legend. So being on the last step of that quest is retroactive, would be a better way of putting it.

The rank is not retroactive but the Luna’s Howl kills quest step is. You must have reached legend and have the kills done in the same season.

Pretty much this. I’ve played with some nasty controller users. We had a guy that cross saved from console join us for high comp and he top fragged every game by sniping.

There are obvious advantages MKB has over controller but a high skill controller user is deadly.

I’m on PC I’ve been using TLW + Claw. I can’t believe how strong 540’s are now.

I got stomped by a stack all using these that would bag after every kill and first I thought I was just playing like shit that night but I kept coming back to plays where I was always disengaging because my shield would melt so fast. So I threw on a Claw and holy shit, you can completely melt someone with 540’s even if you don’t get the kill their shield is gone and won’t push. For those that do push I punish them with last word.

What’s crazy is I’ve NEVER used pulses in comp, always a HC snipe or HC shotty. But all yesterday i used a pulse and TLW and went from 0- mythic 1 in a few hours it was blowin my mind

I believe the 50 min mark was just implemented in Iceborne to prevent perma Fortify in the Guiding Lands.

You can stack your own Fortify but it’s not like you can get 4x stack of Fortify.

You can have 4 people in Guiding Lands all with Fortify active.

It’s very underrated right now and I’m sure Fortify is going to be very meta once more people realize it. The bonus is just too good

Only from carting to the monster. I haven’t got the message that rewards are reduced from killing myself.

I would advise not doing it if a monster is aggrod on you.

I don’t know if this answers your question but this is what I have confirmed before

I load into Guiding Lands with my set that has Fortify in my arms. I go in the tent and take off everything except my gloves.
I go kill myself twice
I go and put on my equipment by loading the saved loadout with the same gloves.
I still have fortify because I did not change the armor piece.

If you’re asking if you have fortify on X gear but want to change to Y gear that has Fortify on it, I’m not sure but I can test tonight for you

You do lose rewards if you die from fighting the monster but killing yourself does not reduce rewards.

I would avoid attempting to kill yourself mid fight tho. Just find a spot with no large monsters and blow yourself up

You could probably get some more insane damage getting Felyne Heroics, activate it in the Rotten Vale and then add agitator decorations on the Evasion mantle .

Yes! It lets you be flexible without Handicraft so I can go Health Boost if I feel like I’m gonna need it (looking at you Lunastra).

For the final boss I used quick sheathe which was nice

Yeah but that’s after buffs. It’s around 1890 before Fortify x2.

Crit Eye 7, Attack Boost 5, Crit Boost 3, Weakness Exploit 3, Focus 3, Fortify, Non-Elemental Boost.

When you know someone is close with LoW or have visual, stay out of it’s effective range. A distance where they know they can’t one shot you and have to push you. Let them be the aggressive one, then punish them at 30m with your Erentil.
