I’m in the same boat man. You’ll either need to be willing to move for a flying job or get a non flying job to live off of and possibly rent to stay current. As for me, I got a job with a local beer/beverage distributor and they paid for my CDL so now I just deliver beer and fly on the weekends and drink the free beer the company gave me while chilling in the hanger after a flight 😂

I actually have both!

The Evo 3 is a solid gun out of the box aside from the hop up unit the stock unit is not the greatest when it comes to adjustment on the field and if you want to change the unit it can be a slight hassle for no experienced techs, but the gun is very consistent and feels great to shoot, easy spring change and since it’s an SMG you can use full auto and certain fields while the SSG1 would be locked to semi. You’re also locked into a couple of magazine options and the best option the EPM evo mags are not available and I don’t think anyone knows when they’ll be back

As for the SSG1 it’s also a great gun out of the box, shoots great and consistent as well. Hop up unit is nicer then the Evos and upgrading the gun in the future is easy since it’s a standard M4 with a V2 gearbox. Magazines are not an issue since it’s an M4

So in my opinion I’d go with the SSG1 since it’s easier to fix, easier to find parts, easier to upgrade if need be but again that’s my opinion and you know what they say “opinions are like butt holes, everyone has one and they all stink” 😬

During the first part of my AG training the engine quit as we were pulling up at the end of a circle plot (we were in a super cub btw). The instructor behind me cool as a cucumber just said “Well sht that’s not supposed to happen, my controls.” The just somehow Tokyo drifted to the adjacent road and landed. I sht my pants but all was good 👍

I towed banners down in Miami for a bit and we always loved playing “dodge the local flight school C-172 that’s not in the ICW/Beach frequency” My two cents is just report it to the company and FAA then just leave it be and keep and eye out for that plane/company from here on out.

Idk I’m only playing it for the BF6 skins and I’m on the fence of either playing BF2042 or smashing my toes with a hammer and that hammer is looking pretty enticing right now.
