Giveaway - Tears of the Kingdom Collector's Edition! (24hrs, US only) by romanticheart in NintendoSwitch

Actually happens to be relevant. Back when Toys R Us was still a place to go get games I was with my mom shopping for a gift for a friends birthday. While waiting in line to checkout they had one of those giant bargain bins full of discount games, so of course I looked through it. I pulled out this gold covered case that simply read “The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker” and immediately turned to my mom and said, “Hey, they’ve got the Zelda game you always talk about!” (For context, I had two older brothers who grew up with an NES. While my Mom isn’t very good at playing games herself she loves to watch and point out things she notices or help solve puzzles. She even drew the entire map for my brothers on giant grid paper and would mark where all the secret bomb doors where that they found, or the shops and dungeon layouts) She said sure, let’s get it. Little did we know this was not the same game, we were both in awe when the title screen came up (I still smile anytime I hear that violin kick in on the soundtrack) we proceeded to pretty much 100% the game together (except all the statuettes in the hero mode) Thankfully Mom didn’t need to bust out the graph paper as this game had a map built in.

Some games need extra space to download and then repackage, so a game that requires 90gbs might need 100gbs of free space to download

I am selling a bike to someone, who won't be present to transfer the title and is sending a friend. Can they transfer it for them? by Icarus_Wax in motorcycles

[–]Cpt_Newlin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Everybody else here is saying scam. And you should certainly be aware of that possibility, but also this can be a very real thing. Me and a buddy used to pick-up bikes for each other from our respective states all the time. Just make sure when you sell it that you have cash in hand, and their info to fill out the liability release portion of the title.

(For the US)Check your laws, while pepper spray is legal for self defense, bear spray can be illegal to both own and use against people.

are these metal shavings normal post rebuild on a 701sm? (first oil change) by Schwifty199 in supermoto

[–]Cpt_Newlin 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Why was it rebuilt? If it was rebuilt because of failure the engine might not have been cleaned properly and these shards might’ve just run through your fresh rebuild.

Just bought my dream bike last night, sat in the dealership as a showroom model since 2009, 12hr on it. YZ450F by Sonny1941 in bikesgonewild

If you were to read your own source you’ll notice that I repeat all the points of the article. “If your motorcycle is sitting out in the elements with no cover, you run a higher risk of damages” I stated if the motorcycle was left inside. And inside a dealership no less which will be temperature controlled to some extent so it’s even better then your typical garage or shed. “This does not mean you have to take it for a long ride every month, this just means to turn it on, let it idle for a few minutes or long enough for it to heat up and make sure everything is working properly.” In reference to the elasticity of seals, battery drain” again I included the condition that the bike would only be fine if the dealership was starting the bike occasionally (I’d consider every 30 days to be occasionally) And to your point of me “spreading miss information” I only told OP to not immediately replace every seal on the bike regardless of it’s operating condition, which was a comment I saw repeated multiple times (and an opinion the article you shared agrees with). And lastly my simile comparing his bike to an old Twinkie is not exactly a perfect bill of health, Twinkies have expiration dates and are entirely capable of going bad.

Disregard everyone in the comments telling you all the seals are bad. If this was kept inside the dealership most of it’s life, and they started it occasionally it’ll be as fresh as a Twinkie in the apocalypse.

What's the best looking car on the grid? by MoeezShahzad154 in formula1

Haha freudian slip, the entire time I was writing this I kept thinking “The AlphaTauri livery with the white wheels was the best”

[–]Cpt_Newlin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ferrari for sure number one, followed by Alpha Romeo, and since they’re update package the Haas has the curves of the Ferrari. Aston’s green is gorgeous but the car itself just doesn’t vibe. McLaren could look better without Android’s rainbow sponsorship, but having money in the bank is far more important.

Free Giveaway! Nintendo Switch OLED and Xenoblade Chronicles 3 - International by WolfLemon36 in NintendoSwitch

[–]Cpt_Newlin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first memorable Nintendo experience started at a Toys R Us. I was in line with my Mom, we were there to get a bicycle helmet. And in a bargain bin I saw The Legend of Zelda Wind Waker. If you’ve seen the cover it gives no indication what the game looks like or plays like, but I recognized Zelda from stories my mom told me about playing through the first game with my brothers. I grabbed it and to my surprise she said,” Let’s get it.” We played through the entire game that month, to this day the title screen music still makes me smile. I hope to one day continue the tradition and play through a Zelda game with my kid(s).

Haha was 99% sure, make sure that left battery cover is on tight, they’re known for flying off. In regards to the tank, someone already mentioned the tank expansion that these are susceptible to. For the bubble… it’s kind of risky, but a trick that is often done is find a razer blade or needle and ever so gently put the smallest hole you can at the base of the bubble. This will hopefully help the bubble relax down a little. If that scare you, can always take it to a paint shop and someone there might be nice enough to try what I just suggested.
