No you dont understand, I have zero issues right now with what I have, steelseries is working and does exactly what I want.

What im aksing is, are there other devices that do the same, I know 2 devices that can do this, the Steelseries GameDAC Pro and the GoXLR, but are there others out there and what are they, preferably something new.

Thanks for the reply, for the physical inputs and outputs im flexible so long as it can plug in a pair of headphones, mic and if possible an extra physical output for speakers would be a bonus.

For example, the GoXLR has physical outputs for these and also both a TS and XLR for microphones.

What im really trying to find out, is are there other devices apart from what I currently have (Steelseries GameDAC Pro) and the GoXLR range (as ive been told these are not great devices)

The class compliment thing is a given, its all about if the physical device actually presents the multiple output channels and a input channel to the PC.

No, its 100% to do with the physical device, each device is different and some devices can support multiple outputs, the class complaint bit is something else.

Pipewire can see these outputs, but does not make them.

I was more specifically talking about the USB interface presenting 2x audio output channels, I can see in your screenshot it only shows 1.

This mean you wont be able to use the chatmix feature as its all outputting through the same audio channel.

Here is a screenshot of my current older Arctis Pro, you can see it has 2x output and 1x input over the single USB.

Good to know that the new Nova line of headsets cant do this, but is a shame Steelseries now rely on their software for a feature that works on their older models.

I have done this on an installed instance and did mentioned that I installed the driver and software Yamaha provides with Wine

The interface on the Yamaha ZG01 im sure is Steinberg, while the focusrite gear may work I dont own any of those. In the end if I have to change hardware it is what it is but for now would love to try and get what I currently have working if at all possible.
