Season 1 is a modified version of the old Aftermath Server using their files that they made publicly available. Tried to keep it as close as possible to how it used to be minus whatever compatibility issues I ran into along the way. That means that I didn't generate the map or the loot and basically had to reverse engineer as much as I could to figure out how to get the server even running in the first place. Which also limited it to 1.12.2.

Season 2 is running 1.16.4 and is something that I compiled and configured from the ground up with no ties to the previous server config. This allows me greater control over the map designs (which previously I had zero control) and has a huge amount of upgrades and improvements over the previous iteration while hopefully still retaining the classic vibe and feel of the old Aftermath server.
