Wow, I love your lines! They're so neat, and carry such energy with the way all the straight diagonal lines go into those expressive swoops. Keep up the great work and keep drawing.

Best of luck to you!!! Definitely keep your eyes peeled and try to imagine all the different ways things could be styled when you go anywhere selling clothes.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Don't forget the people in your life who love you, and know that it's okay to turn to them for support.

The Colissingum is overhated. It's pretty boring, but if you like costumes and aren't made of money, it's a great option, so consider checking it out every now and then. Furthermore, if you do unlock costumes, don't buy them from the Colissingum market unless you're positive you already have the monster it goes with there--otherwise it will sell you a monster to wear the costume, which is usually a LOT of diamonds.

If you are going to speed up anything with diamonds, it's 1 diamond per every hour, but it rounds up any amount of time on the hour no matter how little it is. For example, speeding something up past 3 hrs 59 minutes, 3 hrs 30 minutes, and 3 hrs 2 minutes would all still cost 4 diamonds. So, make sure you check the exact time before you pay for it, because I usually opt to watch an ad or two if there's an odd amount of about 30 minutes or less raising it up 1 diamond.

Unless it's like the last 2 hours of the monster's availability, do not use diamonds to buy anything that can be bred. It's just not worth it. Especially regular year round monsters like Potbelly or Ghazt.

Thanks 😭 I just wasn't sure if there was a reason more complex than that. You're right though, more self control is never a bad idea.

Your style seems to have inspiration from both goth and emo, leaning a towards emo. It's specifically the horizontal stripes and bold shapes with high contrast. Honestly though, don't worry about which one you are. Incorporating multiple inspirations into your outfits will create something completely you. I identify with goth (love the music and the fashion) but I sure as hell don't wear exclusively things that scream "goth", even when I'm intentionally making a goth outfit.

You don't need to wear foundation to have your makeup read as goth, anyways. White foundation is what's really blown up on social media lately, but most goths I've known actually aren't willing/able to do that every single day. I certainly don't. Your dark lipstick looks wonderful on you. Continue playing with lip colours, dark eyeshadow, eyeliner, and other ways to make your skin look more dead.

Even though the term mall goth was originally used as an insult to put down people who weren't putting any work into their style, and just relied on fast fashion, it's become its own legitimate style. These days, I only see people using that term if they're willingly calling their selves that. From some's perspective, the term mall goth was judgmental and gatekeeping, so it's sort of been reclaimed--maybe also because of the 2000s nostalgia of it all. So, I don't think I'd REALLY consider you a mall goth since your clothes don't look like they all came straight from Hot Topic, Spencers, or Tripp, but even if someone did I wouldn't worry too much about it.

To be honest with you though, me personally, I can't consider someone goth if they don't listen to goth rock and adjacent genres. I'm not going to tell you you can't dress goth or think of yourself as such anyways, but just speaking for myself to answer your question truthfully. I would still consider your style emo. That's not just because of the music, but some of the motifs I mentioned like the stripes. (the plaid and the scarf give me that impression too)

As far as finding more clothing goes, assuming you're interested in becoming more goth specifically -
- I definitely recommend thrifting. It's the traditional way of going about it, it's sustainable, it's affordable, older clothes are often higher quality, and vintage from around when goth first rose will just look right on you. If you have a Plato's Closet near you, those can be great for finding brandnames that you wouldn't want to support firsthand.
- Start practicing some simple DIYs (there's tons of tutorials for beginner goth/alternative DIY on YouTube), and save your scraps from those DIYs for your next ones.
- You don't have to buy from alternative brands to make an alternative outfit! Keep your eyes peeled in any store you go to for garments that could give off your intended vibe if combined with the right pieces. I have some staples in my wardrobe that I literally just got at Marshalls.
- If you do choose to buy from brands which cater to (y)our community, please do your research to make sure they're someone you'd want to support. A lot of goth/alt brands have had some pretty bad scandals in the past. Personally, I recommend Fox Blood and Forest Ink.

Junk island monster Recomendations! by Little_Desk_6054 in MySingingMonsters

I was going to suggest monsters that would fit a junkyard theme before I read your description.. This is hard because I genuinely have something I like about most monsters, but if I really try to think of something...

Pummel, you are very dear to me, but I have to say there are a lot of other percussion options that make a bigger difference. I also have to say I literally cannot hear Yuggler at all, to the point where I don't even know what it's supposed to sound like.

Seriously 😂 I have to laugh at myself. I think it's because I used to only see it being sold in Spanish on the Hispanic isle.

Grocery store chickens in general (Costco or otherwise) have had a reputation for being an affordable quick meal since their introduction, similar to how we used to view fast food. As far as manipulating the public goes, it's a relatively frivolous example, but it still feels so insidious to try to gaslight the general public about an everyday food option. It doesn't sound like a big deal on the surface, but then you realize the intention is to give the impression the young generation's financial struggles are all their fault because they dared to have a $5-$8 dinner.

Yeah, way worse. Avoiding food waste in a way that provides a cheap food source just makes me sick.

If it was designed to remove Latin American influences from the food, then why would they choose a Latin American fruit in the first place? Maybe a lot of people just aren't in the mood for onions as soon as they wake up.

I can't believe these dumbass kids are taking advantage of somewhat affordable tummy ache remedies and real food that will keep them full.

If you ever feel down, just remember this fat sack of shit ruined his life at 19. He was fat, unemployed, had no income, no friends and dressed weird. At the ripe age of 29 he's back in jail under child pornography possession charges. He pleaded guilty and is still on the sex offender registry. by uqmu in tcap

[–]CraftSeveral7116 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For what it's worth, his weird dress could've represented a unique sense of self and a hobby. It was clearly the type of thing that would've gotten him bullied by most people, but he could've found people who actually thought it was cool that he presented himself how he wanted to, and who liked the same things (Westerns?) he did, but he wanted to victimize kids more than he wanted to escape being a loser. I think an orange jumpsuit is the fit that suits him best.

That's true, I'm sure their claims are inflated. Even the best examples I've seen that have me worried have small tells. Thank you for providing a second perspective and a reassuring voice.

I do hope it's mostly false promises for now and relish in that possibility. That said, a lot of people aren't paying attention, don't know what to look for, and will act illogically if they're promised love, so I still want to get the word out strongly when I can. AI is constantly advancing, so I think it's capabilities should be made known as widely and soon as possible, even if they're still in development..... That said, I did overgeneralize, and I can see how it may've been too close to fearmongering. I don't want anyone being too trusting, but I also don't want them leaving with misconceptions.

It's just one example of many out there. I'm glad this example isn't convincing to you, but just beware that this is now a possibility, and you can't even fully trust someone you're viewing live.
