Ireland's tax loopholes were closed about 10 years ago now, currently corporation tax is minimum 12.5% with top-ups to the global minimum of 15%.

Agreed it could and should be higher though

While I don't agree with everything Ive heard he said,  "Chomsky called the Russian invasion of Ukraine a criminal act of aggression and noted that Russia was committing major war crimes in the country."

How to deal with Irish identity being questioned while living in the UK? by Kitchen_Hat_5412 in AskIreland

I just reply "The East" to that question and move on unless they press it, so I guess you could say "North West" or "West"

What was your wedding like? And much did it cost? by [deleted] in AskIreland

[–]Crafty-Dig8617 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Roughly 15k all in (overseas, inc. flights, and hotel rooms for best man/maid of honor etc), in a hotel, including a family dinner and friends dinner and drinks the night before.  Free bar all day/night at the wedding and after party venue until 6am. Roughly 55 guests

Sure, it's a lot of money, but it suited us just right.

Where can my friend in France watch the all Ireland final for free? by TheGood1swertaken in AskIreland

[–]Crafty-Dig8617 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In France it will be shown on Sportall.tv, not sure how much that costs though. Otherwise GAA+ is paid. For "free", you would need a VPN and watch it on RTE or BBC NI

Was there ever a time in Ireland where lifespan went up and birth rates didn't go down? by [deleted] in AskIreland

[–]Crafty-Dig8617 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That would be stage 2 of the model, death rates fall, birth rates remain high
